Classes start in about a month but I absolutely do not want to work on preparing for them. Especially since I have to adjust a pandemic-era syllabus to a “pandemic? We’re done with the pandemic even if it isn’t over”-era syllabus.

I got a rejection yesterday too, Lost.

I just don't want another "hybrid" semester - I hate teaching on line

My school isn’t requiring vaccines or masks or social distancing or random covid testing. We’re in-person, and damn the torpedoes.

I will be continuing to have online sessions with my students whilst their group learning will take place in a blended way. I intend to hold my boundary with my line manager and not work on campus due to continued risk, but I think student expectation will pressure for me to attend in person.

Whoops - nearly committed the ultimate Couch sin...but instead I'll say this.

I am not fond of teaching online, although I am in the process of applying for a role through my former university. The logistics of getting there to teach are such that online would make this role more accessible to me.

The thing that is bugging me - does Zoom count as a 'virtual learning environment'? It's what I've been using since last May, but I'm not sure.

My university is requiring vaccines - private not public so it is easier

I'm feeling very disgruntled and unhappy. I'm having the urge to throw things. There's no one here, so I guess I could and it wouldn't bother anyone.

Hugs, NP (if wanted). If you think throwing something could help, maybe try it?

I recall a time in college back in the 1980's when I was in a mood to throw things, I bought some cheap plates at a garage sale and hurled them one at a time against the outside wall of the garage apartment I was living in at the time. It was satisfying. But I didn't so much enjoy cleaning up the mess afterward.

Mean attending gave me the feedback that she is a nice person and I took her constructive criticism too seriously and that irritated her.

I do see what she’s talking about, and will learn from what she said. And also she was objectively rude and can go eff herself as far as I’m concerned.

I dunno, I guess it’s probably moot — people like this don’t often change. So maybe I should just not bother and say something bland/generic.

UGGHHHH.
A few days ago I had an interaction with someone that really really triggered me. Pushed all my buttons. (It was not the fault of the other person, though the conversation was a little odd. And a weird very long hug.) It just landed right smack in the middle of my sh$%. I've been feeling really dysregulated since. I haven't felt like this for *years* not since the ex was living here, and I can't quite believe that I just felt like this pretty much all the time for so many years.

I can't seem to quite set myself to rights. This is stupid.
