Oh, and there was a discussion on here the other day about T's feeling bad about billing clients, and I mentioned how Dr. T didn't seem to have issues with that (having mentioned that one of my extra sessions would allow him to buy a solar charge). I forget why this came up--was in response to something I'd said--but today, Dr. T said, "You've helped me pay some bills."

Former T (was T for 11 years when I lived in the Midwest) texted me today just to see how I was doing. I told her I was doing fine and even found an apartment complex that I want to move to but I still need to find a job. She sent me an encouraging note back that I'll find something soon. It was very nice to hear from her

That response would not make me feel very good honestly. The money aspect of the relationship came up earlier this summer with P and at one point he said it was a "necessary evil" and that he didn't want it to interfere in our relationship. He wasn't shutting me down from talking about it if something was bugging me and we did work through the feelings I was having at the time. His response felt satisfying to me. It acknowledged that the money aspect exists but didn't leave me feeling like just a paycheck.

Surely there should be a little mystery in every relationship.

I use real butter, sugar, and eggs and cook from scratch -I am afraid you couldn't digest any of it.

A little mystery perhaps. But a freudian acolyte and a therapy atheist would probably be worse than a Cancer with Aquarius.

I happen to be a Cancer married to an Aquarius. And I have no idea how we have made it together this long (25 years).

Morning, Couch.

I have my first session since the 27th of July in a little less than 90 minutes. I would be very grateful for any pocket riders, as the conversation I need to have will not be any easier over Zoom.

Thanks,

Lost

So much I want to say about the mental load, 5 love languages etc.

In my relationship, 1 huge plus is he was raised to do his own chores, not expect someone else to do them. It's not like I hate doing chores, but I hated my dad and brothers taking it for granted that they didn't have to.

So we split chores according to who is good at what. And we both offer to fetch each others stuff.

Though we're mostly long distance, so quality time together matters.

I am extremely dysregulated, mostly physically, partly mentally. My toilet was unusable yesterday - it was leaking into the apartment below. I did some watchamacallit survivalist stuff - good to know it works. But i had to clean up the bathroom for the plumber to fix it. And i was a couple days behind already on my pee medicine so i dont even want to guess at my blood pressure. And i needed a shower.

Well plumber said it was just loose and he was done in half an hour. So now i need to get back to normal, but hopefully a new normal. More active n stuff. And to take my pee medicine. And to start eating again. I ate pretty lightly yesterday and i keep getting hunger pangs now, but i want to use this opportunity to change my eating too. The inaccessible toilet really put me in touch with my body! My bladder, anyway! There is a private-ish public toilet in the other building, but it takes a few minutes to get to.

I did not sleep well last night, knowing i had to finish cleaning up the bathroom and take a shower in the morning. I am like over-tired and over-hungry now. Maybe some soup?

Today has been Tough. I've just found out about an online workshop on

Possible trigger:

This experience is still so fresh, and so different. I'm not sure whether to sign up.

The write-up says there will be

Possible trigger:
and I'm not sure whether I'm in a place to be able to deal. If I sign up, I will probably get the recording, rather than attend live, as it starts at 9:00pm my time.

Today is the day for a second opinion from a Pdoc. I'm pretty nervous. I'm leaving work in about an hour and 15 minutes so I will be available for the appointment. It's telehealth but I want to take the call from home, not from work.

I hope it turns out well! Remember, it's just an opinion. You can take the advice or leave it. You are the one in control
