Isn't twitch more of a live streaming platform? A lot of gamers use it to stream games and I think they can monetize it as well. And there is a live chat component to it.

Are you telling me to stand by your TV and make like an antenna?

But this is another reason we are Meant to Be.

The spawn said the same thing, it's a streaming platform, mostly for games.

I have a blind spot when it comes to games. I have the slowest eye hand coordination ever. Its exquisite, its FANTASTIC, but its slow!

Stones song, its all over now, baby blue, was part of the soundtrack of another pbs show tonight. Wow hearing the lyrics again after 55 years?!! So THAT part of my brain is still getting oxygen!

Twitch isnt only for gaming anymore there are crafters and makers and i once clicked on a knitting stream but it was just a stream where the camera was focused on someones knitting and the never said a word for the 10 minutes i watched them i kept coming back to see if they spoke but they never did.

I cant believe how stupid people are. People are moving to our town because it hasnt been affect by Covid and complaining that there isnt any accommodation. We have been in a housing crisis since Jan 2019 due to the floods, some people havent had their houses rebuilt yet. A little research would have been a good idea.

I feel like I'm screaming for help and no one is listening. Everyone is just focused on their wants and needs (money) and forgetting what I want and need. Saving $30 a month is of no help when therapy sessions are $150 each.

I'm wondering how she's going to respond. Defensive? Disappointed? Frustrated? Overly logical? Normally I'd apologize or try to soften things. I kind of just want to blow things up and see where s*** flies.
I thought you had a plan to slowly work down to one session a week than would save you a fairly good amount of money? I know you might like to keep the same number of sessions going, but sometimes the reality is our budgets only allow so much toward certain things.

Why not try that plan rather than seeking to blow things up as you put it? Fight that default react to take this as a personal affront and instead use this as an opportunity to slow down your reaction and put that more thought-driven plan which seems very helpful into place.

We are planning on slowly reducing sessions. Did you mean last time? I think last time we got help from H's mom? Or maybe that's when he got hos job? So I didn't have to reduce. Now I do. Maybe... Now H is saying he might get a raise in January...

My problem is that everyone is focus on their own wants and needs and not mine. Not saying they should meet my needs and wants, but at least realize what I'm sacrificing and try to empathize with me. Okay, at least L should.

I talked to L this morning. She gets it now. I need our relationship to be stable, safe, and secure. Then I need help regulating my emotions back into my window of tolerance. And finally, I can then work on the practicals.

I'm thinking about signing up for that Mindful Souls subscription box, at least for a few months while I'm working overtime and especially for while I'm not seeing L. I saw an ad for it on instagram just now and it looks like something that's right up my alley and they have a 15% deal for your first box. I think I may just do it. They send 6-8 items a month that are things like aromatherapy items, crystals, gemstone jewelry, and other woo kinda stuff that I like.

That sounds like the Bark Boxes Lone Dog gets every month, with a treat and a toy. He destroys the toy and either wolfs down the treat or rejects it, so the squirrels in my mom’s yard get it. (New cat is not going to lower herself to eat dog food.)

That's pretty cool, @@. I thought Bark Boxes had toys within toys?

I used to get one called Goddess Provisions that sounds similar to that--maybe check into that one as well?

I've gotten assorted other subscription boxes over the past few years, too, for things like makeup/skincare, clothing (for me and for D--well, a couple for H, too), personal care items, etc. It's fun to have the surprise, and some are good values. but then you can overloaded with stuff.

There's actually a site where you can swap items from those boxes with people--I was doing that for a while. It's fun. Like one swap, I traded some makeup I wasn't going to use for a throw

blanket.

Cool, thanks. I'll look at that one too. I'm also considering Lunarly but that one's not monthly, I think I want a monthly one.

eta: nice, this one costs a little less than the mindful souls one. I shall make my decision and order later today!

I went for a walk because the sun is shining and the sky is very blue this afternoon. We've been getting so much rain lately I thought I'd better take advantage of it since I only had to work 4 hours today (Labor Day and we would have been off except for the overtime) and I'm glad I did because the sunshine brightened my mood.

Sounds lovely! I went for a walk both this morning and Saturday before H and D got up, as our weather has gotten cooler. I realized that if I'm going to get back into walking, I need to just do it and not make excuses. And not start surfing the web, just get up, change, and go.

What's funny is I think I encountered the same squirrel on both walks (different coloring from our usual squirrels). It walked along next to me for a minute the one day (to the point that I was hoping it wasn't rabid), then this morning stopped on the sidewalk to look at me. Maybe it could smell the guinea pig food on me...

Yay for you!! And yeah I realized the same thing about walking - I also need to stop making excuses and just do it. Today I got motivated by looking at my step counter and seeing only like 600 steps. To be fair, I worked half the day, and I don't have my phone on me all the time, but still. It looks a lot better now after my walk I should get a fitbit or something. I have enough Bravo points at work (our managers can award these points for stuff that we can use to buy things) to get one.

I just cut off 5 inches of my hair! And it feels so good! I got an a-line bob. I wanted to do something to feel a little better about myself.

I read on facebook that the squirrel is the only wild animal that will ask a human for help.
