Emergency session with Visa today. Did it help? It wasn't unhelpful, like Info on Wednesday.

Although she was on vacation (not out of town, just taking a week off). Somehow I'd never noticed before that she has a nose stud. Maybe she doesn't wear it normally during appointments in non-off weeks.

I might as well cave and start seeing her weekly if I'm going to schedule every other week and then ask if she has openings in the alternate weeks.

Glad Visa wasn't unhelpful. The nose stud makes her more interesting. And makes sense just to schedule her more often. I mean, I'm not one to talk about frequency of therapist scheduling....

Regarding my shift job, ugh... I know I was unreliable so it's still my fault even if it's understandable.

I rarely ever took urgent time off in all my full-time roles. This shift job can cancel my shift even 30 mins before it starts. For my emergencies, like fleeing my living situation, I told them asap, so at least 6 hours notice but they still had to scramble.

My healthcare shift job, at least everyone knew when shifts were "up for grabs" and how many people were needed. We were able to choose our hours within the shift too. That job was covid-related so they cut shifts to almost zero when government decided to slash restrictions.

Have been "into" charcoals lately. I did a cat with charcoals that I sent to my friend in DC. I hope she loves it.

Aww the necklace sounds lovely, I hope you enjoy wearing it once you get it! And I hope that doing your artwork on Sunday is an enjoyable activity for you as well.

Something which I see increasingly with my students is their eagerness to pathologise any difference or difficulty which they experience. Having trouble concentrating on something which doesn't interest you? ADHD! Have trouble adjusting to change? Autism! And if one more of them tells me that they are an empath, I will weep more readily than they do. I am not minimising the struggles that we all can face, regardless of disability, nor am I denying the existence of these conditions. However, it troubles me that they are seeking out a diagnosis (with medication as their holy grail) for unpleasant experiences which are simply and sadly part of being human. Not every adverse experience indicates a condition or disorder.

I got my hair cut yesterday, and I'm super happy with it!! She did a fabulous job. H loves it too. I'm going to keep going to this place instead of where I used to go, as it's closer to my house. I went out today and bought a new round brush so I can hopefully duplicate the way it looked when I left the salon yesterday... I watched what she did with the blow drier and brush, but I've never been particularly adept at 'doing' my hair, so we shall see if I can duplicate it or not. I'm a wash and go girl at heart, especially working at home.

My dentist appointment took 2 hours apparently i made them work as there was a few consultations with a senior dentist about what to do to save my tooth, but indid speak up about the leg spasms and the assistant got 2 rolled up blankets to pit inder my knees to help.
I have been looking at bookshelves on instagram it started with looking for book recommendations then a whole lot of bookshelf shots and i am appalled that people organise their books by colour! My fiction books are arranged alphabetically by author and my non fiction books are arranged by subject and the alphabetically by author. Three od my aunts were librarians, but i think i would have naturally arranged my books like this anyway.

William Hurt was AWESOME with Kevin Costner in Mr Brooks, although it is a police procedural - demi moore is the police!

Yeah dentists have all sorts of snuggly goodies hidden away. If i dont get a neck cushion i come away quite dizzy.

Hi peeps. Just checking in. The baby shower went okay I didn't SH or anything. I did get to hold my other cousin's baby for a while. She is 3 months old but she is hard of hearing so she doesn't look at you when you talk to her or anything. She is so sweet and just smells like baby. Mmm. So good. Kind of suicidal today but it's just thoughts. No actions or plans. I texted my T so she knows. I think I'm just tired or something. Like I need a break from life. HUGS everyone, Kit
