I dont believe it i finally ordered a new more expensive phone because the covid checkin app kept crashing my super cheap phone.and at the end of the month the mandatory checkin and vaccination status proof are being scraped. At the new phone has a better abttery i am really sick of buying cheap phones every couple of years so i had planned on buying a more expensive one but i feel like $400 phone really isnt worth it but i gess it is if i am not paying for a new phone every 18 months. I can afford it now so why do feel I should hang on to my old poverty ways.

Just hung up from a most lovely zoom drum circle!! L was not on there tonight, there were only 5 of us this time so a nice small group, and that meant we had one breakout room with 3 people (the one I was in). We'd all worked with each other before, so it was really enjoyable! I like being able to meet and work with people in other areas of the country that I wouldn't otherwise get to know. I feel so much myself doing this stuff and I'm so glad I started attending these weekly circles. It took me awhile after I was first invited to actually start. Typical me haha.

So we got H's heart monitor today, he wears it til tomorrow morning then has to drop it back off at the cardiologist. Not sure how long it will take to get the results. We thought they were going to do another test today but they didn't. The rest will be in mid-May.

HI All,

I had group therapy last night for aftercare. We did music therapy. Oh my gosh. So awesome. The only other time I've had music therapy is IP so it was nice to have it in outpatient. The Music Therapist was really nice too, she seems pretty cool. I guess it's going to start being a usual thing on Thursday nights.

HUGS to those who want, Kit

Hi Kit, I'm happy to hear that music therapy is good for you! I've never experienced music as a therapy thing, but can imagine how it could be useful, as much as I enjoy listening to music/singing.

I had a follow-up dr appt this morning and another round of bloodwork for that kidney thing my doc has been watching. My bp was higher than usual at 150/90 (I'm on meds for it) and she talked about possibly increasing my meds but then said no let's just take it again after, I was running late and she thought maybe it was just high due to me being worried about running late. Anyway before I left it was down to 130/74 so she's not changing my meds after all. After that we dropped off H's heart monitor at the cardiologist, then went to breakfast at IHOP. Almost as soon as we got home, just long enough for him to sit down and turn on the golf tournament on TV, he got a call with 2 jobs. So he's gone again, and I'm gonna kick back today and be crocheting worry/wishing worms to donate to my friend's daughter's girl scout troop, they're making care basket to give to kinds in the local children's hospital. That is, after I write today's poem.

Before I go.... I'd put another lecture in my cart on the jung platform website but haven't bought it yet. I got an email that says my cart is "having some abandonment issues". Smart *** web designers.

Hi

I still float around, but I'm not doing therapy at the moment. So I don't have much to write about.

OOOoo what's the lecture called?

There's also the podcast by the group This Jungian life which discusses theory and they do dream analysis at the end if you want a free option.

I'll look up this jungian life, thanks!

The one I haven't bought yet is "Individuation through Creativity and Art Making" on jungplatform.com. I think I better finish the one I already paid for before I buy any more

Here's today's wishing worms so far, I'm thinking if I make antennas for the green ones they might look a little like Plankton on SpongeBob. Haha. Some people have been putting "hair" on them too, I haven't tried that yet.

Art, too cute!

Lemon, I don't do therapy but I float around here, too.

Today was long, my oldest had surgery for a kidney stone, she's been suffering since Sunday night but should be feeling better after sleeping off the anesthesia.

We recently moved out of my childhood home, lots of stress and drama with that but I think we're settling in now. My youngest is ecstatic because we have a pool!

Hugs and head-nods all around the couch, take care of yourselves.

I hope she feels better soon. And very exciting to move - moving is so stressful but it can be a good thing once all the hoopla is over.

It's been a week. Got my concerts over with at least. They went well. The reviews were good. We apparently have "surprisingly strong command of Russian diction." LOL. We'll take that. The Russian IPA nearly killed us.

I came home from my concert Tuesday night to discover my refrigerator wasn't working. It was the compressor and it had enough age on it that I knew it was time to buy a new fridge.

So Wednesday I was setting up for a substitute to take care of that issue when my son called me -- our water heater had gone out. Ugh! Okay. Fine. Yes, it was probably also due for replacement.

The numbers were adding up but it is what it is.

In the meantime we shopped for a new refrigerator. Found one that could be delivered Friday. Fine.

So . . . the plumbers came Thursday to install the new water heater. They were almost done, and the plumber just happened to walk around the side of the house to turn off the main water supply at the street, and he smelled gas. Yup. The gas line into our house was leaking (old house; old metal gas line that had corroded). Y'all, this is what causes houses to suddenly blow up. They turned off the gas immediately and the VERY expensive process of replacing the gas line from the meter to the house and bringing it up to code has begun. (This is a 42-year-old house, so anything original is generally not up to code). Our gas meter, for some ungodly reason is on the OTHER side of the house, so the trench had to be excavated across the entire length of our back yard; they had to cut through our driveway and up the side of the house where the main gas line into the house is located (probably a good almost 100 yards). Today they should start laying the new gas line. Monday the city has to come inspect it all before they can certify all is safe and finally turn our gas back on which may not happen until Tuesday. In the meantime, no hot water. Fortunately it isn't cold because we have a gas furnace, but those cold showers SUCK!!

We are trying to keep a positive spin on this. If the water heater hadn't gone out, we might not have discovered that gas leak and that could have been horrific.

Our new refrigerator arrived yesterday. Love it. Finances for the gas line issue have been figured out.

It's fine. It's all fine. I'm fine. LOL.

I'm tooting my flute both services on Sunday. Playing against our organist is a bit intimidating. She's a world-class organist; she's completely down-to-earth, but her skills blow my mind. Fortunately, I can keep up with her on flute, but she was trusting that I was giving her an honest assessment of my abilities (she had never heard me play before).

Yikes, Artley. That's a lot. We had a gas leak at home shortly before the pandemic began, and it was due to the person who serviced it not tightening something enough. You'd think they'd check these things more than once...

I'm sorry that everything happened at once, but as you say, the chain of events may ultimately be a good thing.
