I got my last Mindful Souls subscription box today, and as I promised myself I would do, I cancelled my subscription because our overtime is ending this month (for now). It includes: a Tiger Eye stone (I'm surprised at how big it is!), Red Jasper necklace, Agate Beads necklace/bracelet, smoky quartz sphere, amazonite bracelet, and a bottle of patchouli oil. My favorite item this month is the agate beads necklace, I'm wearing it now! One of the bracelets I got in a previous box is too small for me so I need to remember to take it with me when we go visit my friend in Oregon in July, I think she'll really like it.

Maybe you could do a cheaper version for yourself every month. Just one or two items which you really will like. My aunt has a necklace with all of the stones.

My mother gave me a emerald ring. which I wear daily.

Hope you're safe Kit. We're around if you want to talk.

Four hours to session with Matt.

I was also supposed to see him every 2-3 weeks, but it's been weekly for the past three weeks. He's okay with me choosing and I don't have a fixed slot which I want.

Think Artie would like him as he's Jungian, but also "woo" and into using crystals and aromatherapy. He sends me messages after session and thanks me for sharing stuff by email. He seems okay so far and does also work with children too.

I'm scared of just replacing one T and ending up in the same way 4 years down the road.

Hi Couch,

Hope you're all doing OK. I asked for updated submission guidelines for a writing for wellbeing magazine last week. Back in 2020, I started making notes towards an article about classes I'd taken with one of my favourite poets. Now it's time to write the article, I can't find the notes.

They haven't given me a strict deadline, but I am scared I'll have nothing to show.

I'm so glad he's okay with you choosing when to see him, and that he seems okay so far! Also I do totally understand your fear of ending up in the same way 4 years down the road.... that's a kinda big part of the reason why I am taking some time away from therapy before I find a new t. At this point, I'm even starting to think maybe I won't get back into therapy at all, as I really feel like I'm doing pretty well without it (I certainly did my time, 10+ years haha). I'm continuing to work with the TED triangle thing (The Empowerment Dynamic), the mood elevator tool, and attending the weekly drum circles and all of that combined is working well for me. I mean I still have issues, no doubt about that, but I guess I feel like I've learned enough to where I can recognize them when they come up and get myself 'out of the soup' quickly enough. And I'm feeling generally pretty darn okay with who I am these days. Like, good enough, is good enough, or something. Acceptance, maybe, of myself, at very long last. Interesting to think about this.

Just talked to my sister, our mom's been under the weather for a couple days and she ended up having to take her to the ER this morning. They gave her lots of fluids, which perked her up some but she's still really weak, but her bloodwork all looked fine, so they did a covid test too but won't have results of that until tomorrow. she's been so almost overly super cautious (she's 82 now I think) i can't imagine she has covid but you never know. This is one of those times that I don't like living so far away from my family...

Thanks Kit & LT. I just texted my sister to see if she's back home yet and she is, so that's a good sign. They had kept her for a little while in the ER to make sure they gave her enough IV fluids.

Thanks Lemon! I'm not too worried anymore since I found out they let her go home; my sister & her bf are right next door also. She's always been very healthy and is fully vaxxed & boosted so even if it is covid hopefully she won't get too much worse as long as she makes herself stay hydrated.

I am so anxious about absolutely nothing but absolutely everything i am finding hard to sleep but i dont know what is really bothering me. Currently i am stressing out really badly about my daughters car it is losing oil and sounds awful and i keep asking her to see a mechanic and all i can do is think of the engine blowing up and her and her boyfriend not being able to get to work. I feel really stupid i havent been this way for a few years now.
Ok writing this out has relieved the anxiety abit and i am feeling a bit better. Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Hugs if wanted, Daff. There's a lot going on in the world right now let alone anything each of us are experiencing personally. I hope you're able to give yourself some grace about feeling anxious. Writing about it has always been helpful for me so keep posting if it helps!

Great idea. I'm browsing their website now (mindfulsouls.com) and they have LOTS of things on there to choose from. I might just have to do that.

Going out on short term disability at work - developed a GI bleed related to surgery I had in the past - plus fighting the depression monster. Trying to come up with things to do - cheaply- while at home to counter the depression. Ideas?
