Thanks for checking in with me, LT. This is a tender time of year, and I'm glad it's nearly Thursday.

Thanks, LT.

Grateful for the hugs. You might think after 15 years, I'd know what to do when April rolls around. There are layers this time that weren't there before.

Well, I have to say that committing publicly to the poem a day thing this month (via blog) was what I needed to do. I've written 7 poems so far since Apr 1. Doing so has been helpful in the eating my feelings department, as I've been focusing on trying to write the feelings instead of just writing about or around them. And I think it's making a difference. I still have a ways to go in that department and I wouldn't call any of them masterpieces haha, but they are real and that's what matters to me.

I think for tomorrow's poem I'm going to dig through my poetry forms books and find some obscure form to tackle.

I just got back from the pharmacy picking up h's meds (he had a tooth pulled yesterday and it took them until this afternoon to fill his antibiotic, they are so backed up there). I found caramel mocha filled Peeps in the easter candy aisle - sounds like a bit of an abomination honestly!

Sounds like the Peeps are drinking too many Starbucks fraps! You are what you eat?! I cant imagine that flavor combo.

A-hem. I have eaten the caramel mocha Peeps. (Since celiac limits my indulgence in oddly-flavored junk foods.) They are quite good. They also have chocolate bottoms.

The straight coffee-flavored Peeps, though...nah.

Sometimes we are what we don’t dare to eat.

Hahaha....

I'm glad Peeps don't exist in the UK. I've never been a fan of marshmallow, which means I have to be firm when ordering hot chocolate.

But... but... what about Tunnocks Teacakes?! Does this mean you don't eat Tunnocks Teacakes? I can't imagine a life so barren. I am so sorry.

I don't mean to show off or anything, but I eat four in one sitting and only stop there because apparently it is polite to share and blah blah blah.

Ive been watching youtube videos about how (not) to sneak into the UK but if you guys dont have Peeps...!

It would be funny if customs searched my luggage for contraband cigarettes but they only found Peeps!

I'm afraid I don't eat Tunnock's teacakes, as I'm not a fan of jam either.
I cannot be trusted around their caramel wafers, though. Whose idea was it to put just 6 in a pack?

Today I played around with writing a Fibonacci poem. I don't care for it much. Must do something else after work.

Tomorrow is H's next appt at the cardiologist, where he's getting a Holter monitor to wear for 24 hours and one other test I have forgotten what it's called. Then next month he goes in for 2 more tests. I took the whole day off because why not, I have 56 hours of vacation on the books right now so might as well, and have a 3 day weekend (as my weekend is Friday/Saturday). Looking forward to my weekly drum circle tomorrow evening.

Wouldn’t a Fibonacci poem have to be infinite since the sequence is?

This morning my mother was told she’d be discharged later today. Then a few hours later the biopsy results came and indicated kidney inflammation, so now she’s staying inpatient till the weekend to have steroid treatment.

Well, I was following what I read on writersdigest.com. Anyway I believe the form is named after the idea of the sequence, not intended to be a literal interpretation and have to continue unto infinity. If I'm understanding it incorrectly, then I guess I have started a poem that can never be finished!

I hope your mother is at least feeling better, even though she's having to stay in the hospital a little longer.

Morning, Couch.

My session with R is in an hour. I wondered whether anyone would be willing to pocket-ride.

Thanks,

Lost
