I had years of experience and still got caught off guard, taking too much orally is really a different ballgame. It's not anxiety or that stuff, physical symptoms is most of it.

The two times I tried cannabis in the past (like 20 years ago), I was also drinking (was drunk the first time, not so much the second), so I'm not entirely sure how cannabis affects me. I have tried just CBD oil tincture (from hemp, less than 0.3% THC--the legal amount that can be shipped in the U.S.), and it never seemed to do much for me--tried for relaxation and for sleep (that included some CBN, too).
Weed increases the effects of alcohol a lot, you'll get the spins and weed will make you freak out about that.

As with most drugs, I find it's best to just have an evening where you've got nothing to do, have some food stored in the fridge or similar you like, D in the bed, few puffs, see how you feel after 10 minutes, maybe few more puffs, then prbly eat or do some fun thing

I use for sleep and pain. I have used for a few years and I am still a lightweight which helps me save money. I have made my own cannabutter, cannaoil, and tincture (which I then turned into cannasugar because everclear is super nasty). That is how I started because I didn't like the taste of combustion and then I learned about and turned to dry herb vaping. I don't mix it with alcohol at all. I don't really like the feeling of being high but I do like sleep and pain relief. I only use right before I go to bed.
The only side effect I have experienced is dry mouth.

That was sort of the plan, like maybe try on Friday night, say.

And I didn't realize it increased the effects of alcohol--interesting.

I don't like the feeling of being high either. The part of my brain that isn't impacted starts disagreeing with the part of me that is- it just doesn't make sense.
I greened out once- no idea why. Edibles, hadn't had super significant effect the previous time so next time I upped to the next (very small) incremental dose. Major perceptual distortion. The whole structure of the universe was out of whack. Bicycle guy had to help me to bed because even though I *knew* it was not a rational perception, I wasn't sure the floor was real. I was afraid I might step right through it and my leg would be just dangling in...wherever. Between dimensions? The nether? Also the walls were *wrong.* Which was stupid, and part of me was pissed I felt that way because -duh- floors are solid, dummy.

Also even the smallest dose makes my tinnitus overwhelming.

The world would be a better place with Harrison ford as the American president (The Air force one 1997 movie version).

“Real peace is not just the absence of conflict, it’s the presence of justice”.

Going to add that to my quote bank.

Fuzzy - gee i felt like that last night and still today, from eating too many (4? 5?) Fiber-Ones.

Got my haircut for the summer, a stacked undercut bixie. I told the hairdresser, sometines i want to wear it curly like Sideshow Bob, if you know who that is. She has young adult sons, so yeah she does!

we made it to oregon! smooth flights and easy rental car process even. the little VRBO we rented is SOOO adorable. And it's on acreage, so h and I have already gone for a walk through the woods. It's so green here. We're only about 5 minutes from my son's apartment, and he and his gf are on their way over now. We're going to visit for a bit and then go out to dinner somewhere. On the way here from the airport we stopped & bought groceries so we can make breakfast here and not eat out every meal. The little house has a full kitchen so we're set for next few days. I can't WAIT to see my boy!!

We haven't left Penelope alone for more than one night since old cat passed. We'll see how she does. One of our friends will be checking in on her every day though, to make sure she has food and hasn't spilled her water. And he's going to put treats out for her in different locations in the house so she can find them whenever. I also put a couple teddy bears out on a bed and on the couch so if she wants something to snuggle up against she can. I wouldn't leave her for this long without someone checking on her, anyway though.

And cold! It's supposed to be in the 80s this weekend.

Have fun, Art! Oregon is always beautiful in spring- plus you're right at the end of tree pollen and before the grass pollen. Heh.

P.S. Art- I love staying in vrbo or the like instead of a hotel. Last time I visited the dancer spawn I was able to cook him breakfast, and it was so much fun hanging out in the kitchen together. My momma heart got all squooshy. Have fun squishing your boy. <3

Wonderful news, and well deserved.

I'm grateful that they recognise your considerable talent and worth to them on occasion.

It would be great if that translated to adequate provision in other areas.

So they updated our apartment wash machines without telling me. I now have over a hundred useless dollars in rolled quarters. But i must say, it is much quieter to operate with an app. Now if only they had an app to fold laundry...
