I never thought these words would ever come out of my mouth but I need someone neutral to talk my worries out with. Someone who doesn’t know me. Someone who doesn’t know anyone I know. At least temporarily.

Jersey, i was wondering what was going on but i didnt want to pry. My advice is: yeah people are doing the best they can. And if i personally cant tolerate it, if it hurts me too much to stand by and watch, then maybe i would do an even worse job in their shoes. It scares me how much i did not see that. But my situation was not your situation.

Thanks Una. I deleted my posts earlier because they probably should have been under trigger warning and I couldn’t remember how to do it.

I dont think they needed trigger.

But the way to trigger is its the red circle x blob thing in the edit panel.

Possible trigger:

The blue horn next to it is mention.

Thanks, Una.

I wasn't aware they'd made it so you could put a trigger warning in that way.
I've been using the square brackets and doing it manually.

Hey, Jersey, I missed your posts last night (the ones you deleted) and just saw this one. I'd be available later today if you'd want to message (could be closer to this evening).

I truly believed that I was doing so much better with the dental anxiety and shame. It’s been 6 months since I last saw my dentist. I was supposed to have the usual 6 month appointment in may, but put it off. Finally emailed him today and cried about going to see him. It’s just the shame creeping up, more than anything else.

I picked someone who had real transformation pictures on his website. So I wouldn’t be the worst case and he previously told me that I had nice teeth.

I’ve already been through a lot with him and have seen him for more than 5 visits. Two dental hygiene visits, two normal check ups. A wisdom tooth extraction with a dental surgeon and him there as well doing the stitches. Plus vain teeth whitening.

No idea how I’m ever going to go and get a PAP smear done.

Proud of you for sticking with it, Cake.

You can cross the other bridge when you get to it.

Sounds good. And thanks, OK for now, keeping fingers crossed (H is isolating in the house, which D very much does not like).

I think I need to find a new therapist. I like art t but it’s not really helping and I am spending more time in bicycle guy’s town than my own.

I hate looking for a therapist. I wish they had speed therapy events like speed dating.

I think you should propose your idea of speed therapy to anyone with power that will listen.

I've thought of that speed therapist idea, too! That one backup T (not R) that Dr. T sent me to would have been weeded out immediately, as she just made me feel ill at ease for some reason

I've done actual speed dating in the (rather distant) past. Ended up dating a couple people (not from the same event) that I met there. Went on a couple dates with a few others. They were fun!
Thanks for this!

I never tried speed dating in the past. It’s possible I just didn’t know about it or perhaps just didn’t pay any mind that such a thing existed. It’s totally a good way to find a suitor, therapist, or anything else one is searching for. Mechanic, babysitter, hairdresser, etc..

Time for some new Couch cushions?

I found (and bought) this today.

There's a scene in the final episode of This is Us where Rebecca says to Jack about the Pin The Tail on the Donkey game:

'When the universe puts something that obvious in front of you, you don't just walk away.'

I'm deep in process at the moment, trying hard to trust it.

Lost, how timely!

My mini-fridges "sweat" a lot inside. Also, i need to make some cooling neckscarves for myself. The ones they sell on the internet nowadays are so thin, they are not effective. So i ordered some material and absorbing polymer crystals.

I am going to make fridge bottom liners that will absorb the damp, replacing with a dry one as they fill up.

Anyway, i can make a couple Couch crying towels while I'm at it!

Can I get one of those crying towels with my name on it?

I’ve found telling myself not to fall asleep actually helps.

I sometimes listen to those heavy rain videos.

Milk before bed can help too.

Maybe you could get a baby sized indoor paddling pool too. Or use a bucket with cold water for your feet.

My mother would use a wet towel or T shirt on her body when it got very hot. Not just the neck.
