I was never given tangible proof she would leave, but I had a feeling quit or get fired or move positions or something because over the past 3 months she's cancelled about 1/3 of the appointments.

I'm just pissed because at our last session it ended with "hope you feel better" from her and then I had someone else from the office to tell me she's not a therapist anymore. I've had this three times before, two from CMHCs. The other two I didn't mind because they were incompetent. I think the PP one was fleeing from the law or something becuase I just got al etter in the mail the day before saying he's no longer practicing.

I have abandonment fears and at first I didn't want to talk to any of them, and then the whole team and I got pretty "close" (not like platonically or romantically, just in a way they like to talk to me like philosophers discuss various ideas). Now I'm waiting for the other ball to drop and I don't know who it's going to be, but I have an idea...

The rest of the people there are going to try and set me up with a new therapist, but I don't think there are other therapists on my team so maybe I'd get someone from the other ACT team or no one

That happened to me once. A therapist didn't show up for a session and she got in so much trouble for it that she got fired. There was more stuff going on with other clients besides just being a no show for me. I got switched to another therapist and then she had an emergency a few months later and now I've been with my current T for over 2 years.

I just keep thinking of the guy who was waiting for his therapist who had quite the show while the office manager started *****ing and venting about the no show therapist to me and my mom.

I'm pretty sure she quit weeks ago though. I got a call the week before Christmas saying the office is closed Christmas, New Years, and she'd be out of the office the next Wednesday.

I was at this agency just as I turned 18, and this is the third time I've gone there and said, "Hi, I'm Muddy, here to see Mr. G" and "okay, let me sign you in." Then two hours later front desk lady is like "who are you waiting for?" (I answer) "oh, he's not practicing here.

Sad part is it's not even the first time it's happened, although at least another time when it was a psychiatrist I got a note in the mail he doesn't practice anymore the day before my appointment. The other therapist I just shwed up and "oh, she's not here anymore." And this dipstick that thinks he can diagnose someone with schizophrenia after one 45 minute appointment and then be two hour late (not sure up? Not sure I left) for the next one.

I just HATE how I TRUSTED her, and now she's a bag of cells with a brain that knows stuff people shouldn't know.

Good grief. So sorry you're going through this. How does all this even happen at a single practice?

Community mental health center run by a state with a motto that says "Live Free or Die" I guess (we think all taxes except property taxes are abominable I guess). Other CMHCs in the state haven't been any better from my experience, but I've only gone to 3/10 regions.

They're a fustercluck down there. They take the shyttiest therapists and probably the most dependent clients and then wonder why there's such a high turnaround.
