Age and Relationships ...

Ok well there is a boy ... he's very hot, 6 foot 2, dark hair and eyes and olive skin .. and he likes me ...

But he is 24 and I am 28!! That's quite a bit difference to me. We haven't really had a proper 'just us' date as I keep putting off the dates he puts in my Outlook calendar ... I'm not sure if I am genuinely too busy or I'm just not sure and putting him off on those grounds.

Last night he was extremely sick after a weekend of partying and called me and wanted me to come over to his ... I had had a couple of wines at that stage and didn't want to drive. But he was pretty keen to catch up ...

I can't avoid a one on one date again if I am to have any chance of anything with him. But he does seem pretty young - I am well over the partying stage (in fact, I'm quite nanna now).

Any advice would be appreciated ...

Well, I was 30 and my (now) husband was 25 when we first met. I do know what you mean - I was VERY self-conscious of the age difference for the first couple of months. Maybe a year - don't remember. Not only did we have the age difference but we were at entirely different places in our lives. I was a year and a half out of a divorce and had already built a good career for myself. He was still skateboarding and bike racing and earned his living as a bike messenger. We had very little in common on paper, but our beliefs and value systems clicked immediately.

NO regrets on my part. We came together in ways that I wouldn't have been able to with someone older.

Don't let age get in the way. It evens itself out.

I say GO FOR IT!!!! - for you know the old saying any ways.... that Girls mature faster than Boys do.... so having him a few years younger than you should work out great.

I find it funny that you think 4 years is a big age difference. My last relationship was with someone way younger than me and he is far more mature than the majority of guys I know who are my age. (The reason for our break up had nothing to do with age) I think age is just a number, and a person's maturity level has to do with their life experiences,(which he had a lot of) morals and values, and their general outlook on life. I think if you have common goals, shared interests, and love and respect for eachother, age makes no difference, it is irrelevant. (By the way, I am in my late 30's, my ex is in his 20's.) Kind of had a Demi and Ashton type thing going on . Anyway, I hope things work out for you and I wish you the best!
