Seems that all of my life, I've had to bite, scratch and kick to get anything! If I wanted something to happen, it was/is always me and me alone that would make it happen. It was/is always me that has to take on people one on one to get them to MOVE!

It was ME that tried to make mine and Jerry's dream come true of having a country, self-sufficient life. It was ME that decided what animals and what crops we'd raise. It was ME that did all the work! It was ME that got him his son by his first marriage and it was ME that saw the attorney to get that custody and to have supervised visitation because the boy always came home abused in some way. It was ME that rushed him to the hospital to have his injuries taken care of.

It seems that it's always ME that has to swallow my pride, kiss butt, forgive and forget. It's ME that tries to instill motivation in others when I'm fighting my own battle with depression and no motivation to speak of! It's ALWAYS ME giving... giving... giving!!!

I GIVE UP!!! I QUIT!!! From now on I'm doing things for ME ONLY! I'm the only one that seems to give a rats tail!

You wanna hear a rediculous story? No... you probably don't but here it is anyway. When I was active in righting the all the wrongs with the so called Grandparents Rights for visitation! "Get my grandkids for me!!" Yeah! All of these old people wanted ME to wave some kind of a magic wand and get them custody of their grandkids or at the very least, get them visitation where whatever the grandparent wanted was fair game!

When they found out THEY had to do the leg work, FORGET IT! I was the no good, lazy ***** that wouldn't do anything! I handed them the laws of their state that *I* had to reasearch, a way to figure out if they had any standing in court but THEY didn't have money for an attorney... did I have a means to get them the money? No? "Well, you good for nothing broad!! GET ME MY GRANDKIDS!" If they didn't like the laws of their state, would THEY do anything to change them? NO!! I was supposed to!

You know... I doesn't work that way! If YOU want something bad enough YOU have to do the work!

HaHa! Yeap! I shoveled a bunch of that stuff, too! Goat berries, rabbit berries, chicken *****, you name it! It all went into the garden that no one helped me work! You can take that comment and use it figuratively as well as for real!

Same with the grandparents whose only agenda was to keep on controlling their kids!

From now on, I'm only shoveling my own personal crap!!

Exactly! I learned a long time ago that just prayer doesn't get you what you want. You have to WORK for what you want! God just opens the right doors and closes the wrong ones for you.

I've also SO HAD IT with some of the people here. PC seems to be going downhill to me. But I'm willing to admit that this could just be MY OWN perspective.

I try to post positive things, things that will motivate me as well as others to start making some small changes in our lives, and nothing happens. No interest! The posts that draw the most attention are those that could very well start arguments and dissention. I've also seen members attack other members on the board. I get PMs of things going on behind the scenes that create hurt for others.

The people that get the "support"... or better yet, "enabling" are the really whiney ones.

IMO and from My Perspective, I don't get much support and I'm thinking that it's because I'm seen as one of the stronger ones. News, people!! I'm human, too! I have my own failings and my own issues, my own illness to contend with.

I come on here looking to read where someone has offered some good advice to another member in the hopes that it will help me, too... I don't find it!!

Some of us have drummed up the courage to ask for what we need and we get told "I think we're going down a bad road here"???? WHAT??????

I'm tired!! I'm disillusioned!! I've had it!!

tomi........you and i have been at pc quite a while and watched it weather many storms.......we will get through this one too.....what everyone needs to remember is that ALL of us have issues here....ALL of us are suffering in some ways..and we ALL react differently to things said to us.....we need to try hard to remain supportive.....not take sides or interfere in matters that are between 2 people even if both those people are our friends......listen with our hearts and try to bring peace to pc.....tomi....you and i have had our disagreements....lol.....but i respect you and i will always aim at trying to keep communication open between us......i'm here for you and i'm here for all my friends and the newcomers to pc....as we say from time to time around here......"let there be peace..and let it begin with me".......let's put our differences aside and work at our common goal...that each of us an find some peace and comfort here among those who should understand us the best.......

It would be so wonderful if we all just could get along and think twice maybe even more times, before we hit the roof. It can be a hard thing to do... but oh so rewarding... I'm not perfect... but I try not to hurt others... After all this is a support forum, right?!

Just seems like the real caring and support is gone. Maybe because my biggest problem right now doesn't have anything to do with mental health.
