My heart is broken for my best friend. She just told me that her life partner cheated on her and wants to seperate. She doesn't deserve this!!!! She had lots of heartache in her life and just when she found someone and was happy he threw this at her.
I feel terrible. I could make another post about my feelings. Right now I'm concerned about her. She lives soooo far away from me. I cant afford to or is able to see her right now. Thank God she understand that. I invited her up here to visit. Not sure if she will now as she just started her own business.
The terrible thing is He is a professor and is dating a former student. My friend must feel so inadaquate right now. What can I do to make her feel better. I'm beggggggiiiiinnnnnnggggg Please help me. She is hurting so bad. This happend early this morning. She is staying with a friend tonight but then what? She is finacially comfortable so that's not really an issue. But how can you mend a broken heart? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Not only is it not because of anything lacking in her... but the fact that he left for a student speaks volumes about his deficiencies and insecurities.

It's probably not even that he lost any interest in her for any reason... he just needed a change to boost his ego. That's pretty lousy if you ask me.

I don't like the "sour grapes" approach to things but in this case these are legitimate flaws in the guy.

i hope she can visit sometime soon. doing something fun with a friend will help get her mind off of it. Remember too that this is a grieving process for her and the same 5 stages should be expected.
