If you read my other post why Am i attracted to jerks. You will know what i'm talking. The jerks band is playing tonight and i'm going. Not to see him either.I just hope i have the Will Power not to get in a argument with him.I hope he just minds his own business and leaves me alone. Last time i saw the jerks band.I almost backed out and did not go. I almost stayed home and felt sorry for myself.But i decide to go out and have fun. Despite him being there i had fun. I thought we'd get in a fight or something. But we did not talk and i'm starting to realize it might be better that way.Because i think he is bad for me. He has a rep of being a bad boy party type. I'm not like that at all and i don't care for being around heavy drinkers.I use to drive myself crazy wishing he would talk to me and we could be friends again. But some friendships are not meant to last and are not healthy. I'm learning to move on.It has not been easy. But i need to just move on. Because i have wasted my time thinking about him. Just taking it one day at a time.

Congratulations on learning how to move on... never fun or easy. When my brain is in the “good common sense” mode I always ask questions like “why did I stay with him, why do I still like him?” I’ve never been the dating type but have gone through three very abusive boyfriends, one after another. After being single for almost 4 years now I’ve been able to look back and see how my low self-esteem played a huge role in making those decisions to be engaged with them. I’ve been able to let go of the past more and see that I deserve better and I believe that in your case you deserve better too.
