How do you expect I learned about boy-girl relationships?

My Pdoc was the worst influence.

Plus after 2 dates a guy I didn't even like got DX w cancer and had to get his testicle removed. He was in and out of hospital for a year and 1/2. He was being discharged when they found it but kept him military medical for the cancer treatment.
I let him live with me, dropped out of college and took care of him. Every day plotting my escape.
Then he got better, I found him a job, I feel for the other guy working there. He hated him too.
So we got him another job. This backfired. The guy got run over by a work truck and it broke his neck and back. So I started working from home after he got out of intensive care. I went to school at night.
He had a steel plate on his chest and two steel bars up to a chin rest. They carved a piece of his hip bone into discs for his neck.
I had to drive him to all of his Dr appts.

I was behind at school so my teacher recommended volunteering for credit at the Free Clinic. There was a handsome guy who was there because of a dui. This started an 8 yr relationship a proposal and him commiting suicide.

So. If the other posters on here think you just leave someone when the chips are down. I do not agree.

Also if you think it's all truth and there's no grey area, I don't agree.
And if you can't imagine in your wildest dreams how I justify the choices I make, you'd need to walk a mile in my shoes.

Plus I need help w my bipolar. I don't like to pay attention to money much anymore since ECT. ( brain fry)
I'll probably have to take care of corporation tax and property taxes here in CR.
Last year husband made a real mess of everything.

I'm so sorry for all your going through and you losses. I'm not here to judge, only to show support. I like the part about walking a mile in your shoes. I can relate to that emotion. So many people are quick to judge and put labels on us because of our MI and the choices we made in our life's. Well you'd understand why if you spent a day in my head! I tell my bf this all the time. Don't let anyone's judgement bring you down. At the end of the day, you can only live for YOU. Just take care of yourself.

Why did you sacrifice so much of yourself for some guy you didn't even like?

Tisha-- I asked all of my friends.

Had 2 choices. Leave him sick with cancer, no friends( he was just discharged from the Marines. And his only pals. No family support. Mom and Dad busy getting a divorce in other states. No place to stay. No one to drive him to surgery.
Lots of girlfriends said yes. Bail now. Only 2 dates.

The other girlfriends said. OMG. This is the Lords hand. You have been chosen to care for another individual.
The non religious ones that also just said, you can't leave him he needs you.
So 1/2 bail. 1/2 stay.
So I stayed.

I agree about not leaving loved ones in sickness or loss of a job or any other misfortunes. I have no intentions to leave my future husband should something happen. We are getting older so anything could happen, we are both aware what we are signing up for at 50. My mom had cancer all last year, she pulled through but it wasn't easy. Never know what future holds. People have to be there for one another

Yeah she is, isn't she?

FWIW, I met a girl once and oh my...

But then she disappeared. I waited because she had my heart. Then I found her seven months later, on the evening news. She killed someone. Turns out she was kidnapped (she was fifteen years old) that's why she disappeared, transported across state lines and sold into a human trafficking network. Seven months in, she found an opportunity to escape and in doing so, killed someone. That someone turned out to be innocent. She was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

I stayed. You can imagine the judging can't you? I am staying with a girl who is a murderer and never, ever getting out of prison? Was I crazy? Stupid? Well, four years later we got that sentence overturned to life WITH the possibility of parole and after twenty-four years she came home to me.

Most of the people judging are divorced now. We're still happily married.

Are taxes on corporate profits less in CR than in the US?

It's a corporation set up to protect the ranch.
So no profits. Just a minimum tax.
