They live in my home town. It's a small minded town. I wouldn't recommend visiting it.

I've been to towns like you describe. They are small, close-knit with their own insular culture. Very little diversity.

Well now I am worried I might be carrying the new guy's child. I've felt bloated, had a sore stomach and felt a bit sick yesterday which are all signs of being pregnant. Also I had a lot of wind. I am going to buy a test today which should tell me if I am pregnant or not. My period is due about Thursday so it should work as you can get one that works 5 days before.

I sincerely hope I am wrong about this but I never feel sick so I am worried. Also I have less cravings for sugary foods which makes me think I might be pregnant. I have told the new guy about it and he hasn't said much to me at all about it in fact he didn't text me last night and he always does. I texted him and he said he was tired. That is not a good sign. I might have to bring a baby up on my own. I would not have an abortion. I told him as much and he is not saying anything.

I am hoping I am not pregnant. But will do it on my own if I have to.

Please in the future don't have unprotected sex with people if you aren't in a committed serious relationship. Regardless of pregnancy concerns please test for STD.

Honestly having gas and sore stomach could mean plenty of things and having such variety of symptoms ( like cravings) that early on is unusual. But what the tesr say?

I've not done the test yet. I'm going after work to buy one. It's 10.00 in the morning over here just now and I don't finish work until 5.00.

I only really got the signs yesterday but because I am on medication I want to find out as they could harm a baby. I did look it up on a good site which said all these things were signs of early pregnancy. You could get them at 2 weeks so it could be that. But I will let you know when I have done the test.

I know I shouldn't have had unprotected sex and he did withdraw before orgasm but that doesn't mean he didn't leak some semen inside of me. It's only been twice that has happened, apart from that it has been outwith the vagina so I don't think it could have happened any of those times. I have started taking the Pill which apparently won't hurt a baby but I did it prior to my period. I wondered if you could get these symptoms if you did that. You can take the Pill before your period but are supposed to on the first day. It works quicker that way. Is it possible it could be that? I don't feel sick today, just a bit bloated. That could be my period coming. I would still rather take the test to be sure.

I don't have the same desire for sweet food so I am wary. A change in tastes can happen early on.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd just take the test ASAP. I don't know of another way to ease your mind. I'd get tested for STDs as Divine suggested.

I've been pregnant three times in my life. My first pregnancy was the one that I "knew" right away. That was a before my period test, too. By 7 weeks I was forgetting my car keys on grocery store shelves. Breast tenderness didn't start immediately, but within the first month. I knew fairly quickly with my third, when the morning sickness overcame me a few weeks into it. I was also married and trying to conceive. "They" say it takes a couple months off the pill, but "they" were wrong.

Have you considered birth control, if this turns out to be a false alarm? I only had 1 worry moment back in college with my long term boyfriend. I had come off antibiotics (which affect efficacy of birth control pills)from bronchitis and that illness caused my menstral cycle to become a bit off from normal, but it was a false alarm and it was with someone that I cared about deeply and vice versa. But he and I spoke about birth control from the very beginning when we became intimate. Waiting was a choice and taking precautions mattered.

It also works if you haven't urinated in 4 hours. I'm a medical assistant. It's because the urine has to be consentrated so that's the only reason it says to take in morning. I was preg once and used this rule and the test worked. And I was about as far In my cycle as you. Good luck!

I'm not pregnant. Thank goodness. I was just being paranoid. Unless the test didn't work which is possible but I will see if my period comes. If not I will do another test. xx

Sounds like a relief. Babies turn into kids and are a ton of work. They can bring great joy as well as great trials and tribulations. I'd recommend every possible precaution to avoid them until you are ready and have someone that will raise them with you.

Do you know if you can be tested for STDs without an internal examination? I suffer from vaginismus to an extent and smear tests have always made it worse which is why I haven't been tested yet. Also I want to do another pregnancy test yet to be 100% sure as I did that one before my period was due and I am on the Pill which has mucked up my cycle.

I've always been in monogamous relationships before and have never been tested only for STDs. It has been a cervical smear and that is all. So I don't know what happens on an STD check. I know that sounds silly for a 41 year old, but I am not promiscuous so have not considered it in the past. I'm not presuming anyone here is, I am just looking for advice. I know you don't have to be promiscuous to catch something off someone else. I just hate smear tests and find them very painful. I know you can do chlamydia tests at home and a urine sample shows it I think, and I have no itching or problems down below. I would rather avoid it if I had to have an internal examination. I know that's silly.

You don't necessarily have to have symptoms to have sti. Many STIs show no symptoms at all.

You certainly aren't going to have itching or problems down below when HIV positive

Well just a quick update on this. The forum guy and I had a chat and we fell out a bit. He basically accused me of using him when I had been on holiday to see him. I felt he used me and this has got to the point where I have had enough. Being his friend isn't helping me and I'm not helping him so I have unfollowed him on Facebook and am going to ignore any messages he might send. I know that I didn't use him and the situation has messed with my head long enough. He seems to think I forced myself on him, when in fact I kissed him and he kissed me back. He wanted to go further than I did that day and says he only wanted to be friends. I'm not sure why someone who just wanted to be friends would kiss a girl back and he French kissed me and not the other way round. He told me he would take things as slow as I wanted when we were together and then afterwards said he hadn't wanted a relationship. He now says he only ever wanted to be friends. I wanted a proper relationship and he has accused me of using him. He wouldn't explain why. Can anyone tell me how from that description I used him?

Anyway I can't deal with being hurt any more and talking to him at all upsets me as I feel he is just being friends for the sake of it. He seems to almost be saying I sexually harassed him and am annoying him bringing it all up again. It's best just to let him go and try and get on with the rest of my life. He just texted me and said he hope I was ok. I want to get back to him but I know I probably should just let him go. It made me feel happy he cared enough to ask. I don't know why he wants to be my friend when he knows how I feel about him. And after the argument the other day I am confused. Also if he genuinely cares I feel I should get back to him. Should I just tell him I'm ok? I can't say I am but I feel better now he has been in touch. It's like he's an addiction to me. It's like I'm going round and round in circles. I don't know what to do.
