You don't have to demand the date, instead, when he asks for sex or anything that you find crosses your boundaries, you simply say 'I don't do that' and blow him off. He will either change his tune and become more respectful, asking you for the date or he will move on finding another push over.

It's ok if you feel you don't want to date anymore, but you are a sexual, sensual being who wants love and companionship. Don't deny yourself. Just learn to get what you want.

I don't feel particularly sexual most of the time and I don't feel right now it's a good idea with the way I am feeling. A dog would be more sensible. I still haven't asked my landlady about it because it's a big responsibility. It's not just about the legalities of it, it's the commitment it requires. I have to have a long think about whether I am up to it and how it would fit in with the OCD. I would hope that it would help improve it and my mental health so it might be less of a problem. But I wouldn't want to be a bad mum to any dog I might adopt. I'll have to have a think about it.
