A Promising First Date on OKCupid!

OMG YOU GUYS!!! A GIRL MESSAGED ME!!! And shes downright beautiful! This is the first girl to have ever messaged me on OKC. OMG im freaking out (in a good way)!

Of course, the first thing that pops into my mind is catfishing, that she's just way too pretty and too far (an hour's drive) to be true. I hope I'm wrong because omg.

Glad you caught onto that, if this person is indeed a 'she' at all.

She never responded back, so I moved on. The downside of OKC is there are very few LGBT girls in my area and none worthwhile.

So I've messaged a ton of guys, a couple have responded. But I just stumbled upon a gem of a potential date. Hopefully it works out. If not, keep on looking.

I think this time now out of all the years spent on OKC have I made a true effort to find a date. I think it's because if I let the guys come to me, it's like Chat Roulette and they only want sex. If I make the effort, one, studies show girls who reach out have more likely to find a date and two, I get to select and choose who I think would be a good date.

So I keep on truckin'.

I had some trouble with my photoshoot. My glasses are transitionals and I wanted some pretty trees or flowers for background but with the sun right in my eyes my glasses tinted up...I had hoped I could get a nice color picture with my glasses clear so they could see my eyes....so I ended up with this one, but I think it's very pretty. Got my personality, my tattoos, a nice smile, a pretty dress, and foliage.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that OKC profile picture is a small circle, they have to click on the circle to see the whole picture.

I drive an hour to hang out with the guy I met on OkC...just a really good friend now, but I drove down there for our first date. It was something we talked about being a potential issue, but I feel that, even for a friendship, he's worth it. It isn't as far as it sounds.

Yeah, I found that the downside of OkC is that there is some spam to weed through. My guy friend says I don't deal with nearly as much as he does, though.
