Mmm .. I'm a little embarazed about this, I but I don't know ...Anyway: My husband doesn't ask for intimacy.
I am 37 years old, I'm not Miss Universe but I'm not ugly either. I keep my self in fairly good shape and I am "ok" looking I think.
Once in a while he'll ask, but I'm talking every other month or so.. This really makes me feel awful. Mostly because It makes me feel wird. There is nothing wrong with me ... how come he doesn't want me?
He's 37 and claims to love me to dead!

Any how ... I'm going down emotionally, this always happens on weekends.

Ups! I meant to post this under relationships and communication

Hi gloria, your reference to intimacy is really about sex? or is it diferent like closeness with affection or just talking? Just want to be sure before responding.

Hi Gloria, has your husband been to a doctor for a checkup lately? Sometimes this can be related to a medical or emotional condition. If not, get him for an appointment. If that is not the case, I would recomment Dr. Laura Schlenger's book "The Proper Feeding and Care of Husbands." This may be a flippant title, but many wives have found it to be helpful in repairing and reviving their relationship. It seems that if their husband is happy at home (non-addict & non-abusive) then the rest follows naturally.

The book is probably available in your local library or bookstore. Hope this helps.

Hi Gloria,
Have you tried initiating things instead of him?
Just an idea,
Lindsay

yes, but one can only take NO so many times, and to be honest, I don't desire him. maybe because of the other stuff going on in our relationship, but I don't, and if you add to it that, when I make an effort to initiate half of the time the answer is no, well, then I kind of don't want to initiate myself either.

I'm in the chat room if you'd like to talk for a few minutes.

I'm sorry I wasn't very good at chatting ... I'm a little down today, also a little busy.
