Ugggg....now "lady friend" is moaning about how she won't come back unless we deep scrub all the cat hair out....something about it making her itchy and breaking out in bumps.....

I am so totally pissed off right now it's not even funny...

Let your dad do it.
its his friend,
his house
HIS problem.

That would fall under the NOT MY PROBLEM category..

HIRE it done.

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to want to look at it that way. I already cleaned out my room, just need to do the sheets on my bed and some other laundry now.

I’m really sorry about all of this. It’s ridiculous. I was in a somewhat similar living situation you’re in at one time. I was living with family and I was treated like an outsider. I had no say so in anything that happened in the house. I didn’t even have my own room, I lived on a recliner, and everyone could blare the TV as loud as they wanted and talk as loud as they wanted even when I was asleep and had school/work the next day. Yet I was supposed to just be thankful I was “allowed” to stay there when it wasn’t my house.. Sure, I was thankful. I was also thankful when I got out of there and never looked back.

Ugh. I’m sorry to hear this. She sounds like kind of a control freak. I am allergic to cats and have two of them! I learned of the allergy way after I adopted them, but still. Antihistamines and my usual inhaler I’ve taken for years, and what do you know, I can live problem-free 24/7 with two long haired cats! Seriously, it sounds like she’s playing your dad. Hopefully he’ll figure that out sooner or later and you’ll get your baby back.

I’m sorry you had to give your dear kitty to your brother. I’m further sorry that your dad was being insensitive. The whole situation is incredible and his girlfriend sounds like a real character. Thinking of you.

Asking again, why can't you and your cat live with your mother?
