HELLO PC,

Help would be so gigantically appreciated

About two years ago, my really good friend C moved away and my heart broke into a billion pieces, leaving behind an abyss of a void nobody has been able to fill since. We were close for years then boom, finished - but it wasn't the move which brought us to an end, it was borderline incomprehensible.

We stayed in touch over the phone which neither of us liked - then one day, I got a new phone, a new number and I lost his number too!!!! We don't have the same friends to communicate through (before moving, he didn't really have any - so any friends he has made since moving, I don't know). At that time, neither of us were on social media (he'd never even had a facebook).

There is seemingly NO possible way for us to reconnect! I thought I'd be okay and I've met many people since but nobody like him. I just wanna know he's alright, find out how he's been - he never got an explanation from me so it's like I've ghosted him. Can anyone understand how frustrated I'm feeling? It's unbelievable how there are SO many inconveniences trying to reconnect with someone I was once so close to.

It's 2018, it's so hard to accept it's over just like that with no goodbye after everything. I feel even worse knowing he might be thinking I deliberately ended our friendship, so much so I feel sick

Any advice ? Can anyone understand ? Any solutions ? Thank you SO much if you made it this far through my post
Hugs from:

I've lost connections with friends before through the years. Changed phone numbers do make matters worse. Be gentle with yourself, not every lost connection jumps to the ghosting conclusion. I take it neither of you knew the other's mailing address? If you knew his or how to track his address down, perhaps send him a letter or quick note?

Did you ever do a back up, at any stage, of your old phone, even if it was a while back on your computer?

I’m not in America but I had to track someone to get in touch of them once. But this was back in the Day with landlines. I used the phone directory and rang EVERY number with this persons surname and found someone who knew her ... eventually.

I’m assuming you’ve done a thorough google search of your friends name?

((((eclairparty98)))) Is there any sort of book or site containing ALL numbers of all the people living there in your country? Perhaps you could search there if nothing else works, although it isn't easy.

Tragically , I've completely forgot his address - since he moved , we only remember eachothers town name as we'd relied on phoning each other all the time very frustrating as you can imagine having lost connections yourself - it's never pleasant

So strange how in life we meet good people and then lose touch with them some how.
Thanks for this!

I'M in the UK, we used to have the yellow pages - if those still existed, I'm sure I might've been able to do the same as you. Perhaps there's a service out there to help find him through his name and towns name ... surely there's very few people there with his name and, of the few there, one might possibly be him - so that might work

Yep, pretty thorough every so often to be fair, he won't be able to find me either because I also don't have any social media - a huge inconvenient mess , haha

Maybe you could call your phone company & see if they can retreive a phone # you called to the specific town those several years ago. I haven't received phone bills for years but they may have records they can access.

I know how to find people, it's relatively simple. I'm not about to share what I know publicly as it's pretty dangerous info for just anyone to know, but if you want me to link you to a site that works just PM me. Only if you're serious about finding him though. Calm down, there's hope, haha. Like you said - it's 2018.
