Well I came to a head with my stalker-friend. She called yet again and left a snippy message,"well I guess you are ok...call me...click." I am having company today for the next four days and didn't want to have to deal with this lingering issue and the general stress of the issue at hand. I called her back and asked her what was going on that she calling. She said she was just worried if I was ok. I said,"why wouldn't i be?" She then went back to last week where I sounded stressed out. I told her I wasn't stressed out, but rather I just don't like to talk on the phone as much as she does. Then she practically bolted for the receiver saying,"ok, i'll let you go ." I said wait let's get this worked out. But she proceeded to say no, i'll let you go. Then I squeezed in, " then just don't call me again." I am so relieved I have this monkey off my back. I have been awake so many nights dreading this conversation. She did not want to hear what I had to say, so I draw the line at that. I would have been willing to work out a few personality differences and clear this up, but now I never have to call her again, and it was her choice. It feels so good to be free of this burden. I just hope she doesn't call again. I predict she will wait one month to call, but I have nothing more to say if she won't listen. Whew......thanks to everyone who listened. Now i can give my husband some good news that he will no longer have to listen to me complain. Huggs to ya all!! Sesquix

Maybe she's lonely and just wants someone to care?

I have given her many chances to talk about problems and have recommended ways to get help if she is depressed. When her problems start to affect my family life and make us miserable, I just had enough. If you read from past posts of mine you will understand better maybe. I am not the answer to her problems or happiness and her behavior resembled that of a stalker than that of a friend. I lost too much sleep because of her intrusive behavior, and I didn't really invite her into my life to begin with. She is married with two kids and has the time to annoy me with calls and snippy messages. I always have things to occupy my time and suggested the same for her to avoind being lonely. I am sure she will find another friend to intrude upon, so i don't feel bad. I do wish it could have ended on a better note with her understanding the role of personality differences between us.
