Hi Ian: Why don't you wait until you get back from Australia and then take a fresh look at how you feel about the friendship with Erin then. Sometimes we jump to a decision to bring something to an end just to do something/anything, even though it is not really the right decision for us or that we really want to make. That drive to take some definitive action, even if it is self-defeating and not what we want to do, is part of the depression; go on your trip and then decide when you come back. You have nothing to lose this way, and everything to gain. Best regards. Post deleted by DocJohn

Hello Ian,
I agree with Peanut ,who knows she may not even be with this other guy when you get back and You dont know how she feels about you ..I think I would rather have someone I care very much for in my life{ even if it is just as a friend } than not to have them at all..I think that would hurt me like crazy..I wish you all the luck Ian..please let us know how you are doing..your friend Bee

All Christians are not the same. I know quite a few mixed relationships. My husband grew up Christian, I am pagan (sort of, ha ha my beliefs are a conglomerate of many different things, part of the boredom thing I think), my girlfriends boyfriend is Christian she is searching but definately not Christian. Sister in Law is a Christian her husband is anti organized religion. But dispite our differences we are able to talk about our ideas and live happily. My point is maybe you should talk to her before you shut her out of your life because she may be more open then you are giving her credit for.
