Sometimes there is just too much going on to believe it could be coincidence.
If so, is there any absolutely sure way to rid one's self of this kind of thing? In addition to obviously prayer and asking others to pray? The "family curse" idea comes to mind. Members seem to be plagued with horror. Every single thing they do ends in dismal failure, being used, being stolen from, sabotage, illness, and injury. Also, could a person who wants bad things to happen to them be influencing this by either their own will/thoughts or prayers? The person is very active in the church (although is very hypocritical and wicked) but is a great actress who will cry, influence others, pretend to be a saint, literally do messed up stuff like pretend to speak in tongues, etc. This person is using an alias, deserted her husband and children almost forty years ago, and never spoke to them again. He was left to raise the four children who were very small. He could not locate her to file a divorce, and so she could not be located, and eventually was declared dead. It did not matter as they use an alias. The person tends to run in church circles, pretends to be devout, and is always screaming and yelling thinking they are talking in tongues and yelling "we love you Jesus!" Or "Praise you sweet Jesus!" They are able to influence other people in the church, and will attempt to buy people's alliegence as they misappropriate and steal large sums. To gain sympathy and ward off questions, they have been telling everyone for the past thirty years that their husband and children died in the 1970s. They will cry and fake grief. They even made a wall hanging which tells this. No one knows they are still alive, but were quite easily found by a private investigator. They assumed she was dead and do not wish contact with her. She has lied under oath about them. She is above the law. Also, she hasn't never really worked, but always lives off a man or the generosity of strangers or churches. If she and her church friends all pray against a person, will God destroy that person, or drive them to suicide, etc? Does their prayer outweigh the other people's? There was a legal issue, actually many, and the people on the other side tried to call her out once she came at them. She couldn't leave them alone, and is driven by greed and feeding on the emotions of others. If so, will leaving her alone make this stop, or will it go on until her death? Will even then it end? Will God place a curse upon people due to her prayers against them? A bad thing happened a couple years ago. She wanted a legal thing signed that a will would not be called in, actually that no will existed, though she now admits it due to unquestionable proof. When the one she wanted to sign it refused, she sent a letter to them. "If you do this one last thing for me, I will never bother you again. If not, you will lose everything...your money, your properties, your family. Dad turns over in his grave at how you treat me! Just remember, you can't hide from God!" Is this a curse? Since, her enemies have lost a business (or are going to) that was extremely successful for many years, due to the wife being injured. There have been several extremely hard hitting financial blows. The wife is in constant pain from her injury. She went for surgery, but it was called off, as she has contracted a harmful infection called MRSA. She has now passed it to her husband who is ill now. Wife hasn't worked full time since December, and cannot get around well. Two years ago, wife was a thriving and attractive college educated professional with two jobs and a happy home and family life. Husband owned and loved his successful, self-made business. They were kind, friendly, and giving. Now they have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, are sick and in pain, and feel hopeless. Family members have largely sided with the other woman due to her buying them cars and stuff. The husband and wife are going to end up homeless eventually. This infection is frightening and deadly. The woman's brother and sister in law, who also opposed this woman, are suffering similar fates, including the loss of his job as a college professor due to the college closing that department, and he now is stocking shelves at the dollar store for work...literally. His wife, with a master's in education, apparently commands too much money with such a degree and was replaced. She cannot find a job but cleaning buildings and working part time at a preschool. The brother and sister in law are devout Christians, the first couple are Christian but less active in it, and have been known to say bad words, etc. If anyone knows how to make the bad things stop will you please pm me? I swear, I'm sane. It can't be a coincidence. We pray and so do our family and friends, but are we doing something wrong? We just want to be allowed a decent life free from extreme pain or illness. So if someone knows about this or could direct me to a place of help, I would be grateful. Husband does not believe God would do that, and I'm afraid to ask the preacher. |

Thank you for your nice response ((((hugs)))).
No, I would not pray against her or for misfortune to befall her. I thought maybe she would be praying for our sickness, pain, and death. No the college thing is certainly a coincidence but it is just one thing after another, I feel scared and helpless and have nowhere to hide. |

No problem Joker.
![]() ![]() I don't think she could do such a thing, as that would require God to actually grant such a wicked prayer. If anything, I think it would only backfire.

I've likely picked up MRSA in many years of working as a nurse, and have simply been carrying it unknowingly. This is not uncommon. Almost everyone carries some staph bacteria upon their skin. The problem was when it got into a spider bite 2 weeks ago and stopped my surgery yesterday. Very worried for hubby, his is behind his ear and down his neck, very swollen and painful. He also is now on medicine for it.

Thank you, dear....it is appreciated greatly!
I have just been wondering about this, a great deal since yesterday. It upset me a great deal, and though I believe in God, and am Christian, I am not an expert. It's kind of a crazy thought, I suppose, the fear that God hates you. I started out with this little zit like thing on my thigh that looked a great deal like a little spider bite. Actually, that is probably what it is, or maybe a shaving nick. I promptly picked it, and got a little bit of pus out of it, and figured that was that. I don't get a zit or ingrown hair very often, but it happens on occasion, a few times in a year, maybe. Within a couple days, I realized it was more serious, as it had become hot, red, swollen, and obviously had pus in it. I immediately opened and removed all pus from it, cleaned it well with antibacterial soap, and put neosporin on it. I was somewhat concerned about it, due to my impending surgery, but I expected it would heal within a few days. It was the weekend, and it obviously wasn't an ER visit thing. I called Monday and scheduled a preop visit for the following day, and told them I wanted her to look at this bite, and see if I should take antibiotics or have a shot. I should have covered it, because I noticed later that day I had a similar sore on the other thigh, on the inner/back of it, though much smaller. I noted that it would have been in just the right place where, had I crossed my legs, the two sores would have touched. At that point, I realized I was contagious. The wound was cultured and she put me on the antibiotic bactrim, which indeed is killing it. I also have to put bactroban on it. My blood work was normal though. It was up in the air whether they would do surgery or not, since it is indeed MRSA, and I decided the ramifications of getting it into my bones or bloodstream, I could not risk. I am sure my house is a MRSA paradise, though, and who knows what I have touched with a trace on my fingertip or nail after unconsciously brushing against it, or itching it, or even changing clothes or bathing. And before I realized what I had, my husband said, hey...I have a little zit or something in my hair, behind my ear...will you look at it? And I picked it and said ya, it was a little zit, it's gone now. It started coming back yesterday morning, and by evening was big, red, and painful. He went in today but they did not drain it, as it was close to his lymph node. He is on medicine now, too. I pray for a quick and total recovery, and am horrified this happened. I feel "dirty", even though I know it has nothing to do with it. |

we can't talk about religious things on this site but here are some ministries where you could get prayer for healing & deliverance. if they aren't near you then you could always ask them if they know of someplace near you.
are you familiar with the healing rooms? they are a free ministry (they'll ask for a donation) that might be a good place for you to get healing/deliverance prayer. here is one in blair, nebraska. other good ministries you might want to check out for that sort of prayer are ihop and bill johnson's sozo ministries in NE. you can read about sozo here. i couldn't find an ihop near you that looks like it does healing prayer but you could contact their main hub in kansas city for referrals.

Im not someone who believes that other people can actually curse us .. nor do I believe in possession ... that said those are very scary and powerful fears and really need to be looked into.
maybe a chat with the religious leader of your faith would help? I suspect that life events may have caused you great anxiety and deep seated stress and that because you have religious beliefs they have attached themselves to your belief system. You are sane, the fact you are questioning this says that.. maybe list all the good things in your life to strengthen yourself.. remember too that this lady you talk of is just another person.flawed andable to make mistakes..there are reasons why she behaves as she does but I think they are psychological rather than spirit induced. Now im not sure what I really think about "God" but Im sure that a good and loving god would give prayers to harm others any satisfaction.. Sometimes it looks as if their prayers are answered in the ways they want but again Id gently suggest that when we expect bad things to happen they then interpret things that happen as being answers when they are just things t5hat happen because of the way the worldjust is. These thoughts , ( in my post), are more me ruminating on things than basedon any real evidence..all id ask is that you think about them. |

You are absolutely sane, and this is NO joke. Yes, this woman appears to the naked eye and grieving heart to be none other than a wolf in sheep's clothing, a witch who practices such. Her prayers are selfish (self-seeking) she is manipulative and condemning. The opposite of Love. There is lots you can do to ward off from such. I am very familiar with this type of "Christian", my mother is identical to what you have described. For years she cursed me and I thought it was a legitimate punishment for being a bad daughter. Forgive her, and tap into the Highest power available to man: LOVE. PM me if you would like to talk further my friend. Yours truly, Lightbulb7Seven

I agree that those types of prayers would back fire--and I don't think that God would just blindly curse people just because someone asks Him to. As far as this lady being a "Christian," just remember that "a mouse could go into a cookie jar--but that does not make it a cookie."

p.s. I've seen a lot of similar things thru my years as a Christian, and to me it was kind of scary. It's hard to know what to think when you see stuff like that, because we don't want to say anything bad about God or people who claim to follow Him. At least that's how it's been for me. I saw so much wierd stuff when I first became a Christian, and I knew something was wrong, but I was scared to say anything because I was afraid God would curse me if I stood up against those wackos.
