Just got the order for the Ultrasound. The reasons are: renal failure and thyroid nodule. NOW I'm scared!

The last people I want to know that anything is wrong are my sons... but Jerry will need to have someone to talk to. If I felt "imperfect" in front of them before, this is gonna really be the icing on the cake!

Ok, on the cold water part... drink it through a straw, goes past the teeth??? Put a plastic mouth guard on those teeth and drink away???

If it's something the doctor's "found" rather than you moaning and groaning and complaining etc... odds are it's fixable, you know?

I am wondering about the thyroid and the kidney in "one" ultrasound though

Feeling really crappy today. Don't know how long I'm going to stay out of bed. A CNA I know told me that the thyroid affects every part of your system. Apparently, there's a nodule on my thyroid.

Remember I'm a "tough old broad"? I may feel like crap but I don't usually say anything or give it much thought... until it lays me low or the dr says something.

Guess that's something else I need to thank the gmother for... "Keep your mouth shut!!! It won't do you any good to say anything!"

I can sure relate to that gmother training, I got something like it with a "Crying never solved anything" type bit. Gotta love it (not).

I'm daydreaming about some sorta angel service that shows up when we need it, with massages, good food, listening ear, plumped pillows and fresh flowers. Or whatever helps us feel even a wee bit better. Hope something good happens for you soon.

A cool hand on my brow would feel good right about now. My neighbor says I feel like I'm running a low grade fever. She usually b*tches at me that I spend too much time in bed, but as she left, she told me to hit the sheets.

Maybe if you picture a couple of rays zapping my kidneys back into function, it might work.

LOL I've heard of him but I don't know him. Seriously doubt I'd let him in my bedroom!

No... the cool hand I need on my brow is more along the lines of my mother's hand... Layed down around 4:30 pm. I just got up and it's 10:30 pm. Only reason I woke up is because Jerry called me to say he's "going out with the guys" after work.

Now's about the time I need a daughter, I think, but she's the last person I want to know that anything is wrong with me!
