who are we to judge

relative showed up intoxicated to service. by coinsidence pastor in sermon stated that we should not be ashamed because the Lord accepts anyone in any state. it was hard for me because i am not perfect. but with God's help i will learn to accept this.

let them without sin cast the first stone, take the log out of your own eye are sayings ,i do my best to stick to, but its not always easy!

Yes agony the Lord does accept anyone in any state or adversity..Take care...

we are taught to except and love and do for others, help those in need. it is not for us to place judgement, that is up to God. if this releative felt the need to be at church, intoxicated or not, it is exactly where he should be.

without those in need we wouldn't need God, look beyond there short comings and hold your head high

thanks for your comments.. it is all true,, i just found it ironic that the sermon was about what was happening at the moment.

a good friend of mine reminded me there is no better place than church for us sinners

Agony we will tend to see ourselves above most cos God is working in our lives to clean up the rough spots . We will see the right and wrongs but we are required never to judge but to understand

((((((agony))))))) i know what you mean when it seems the sermon was spoken just for you. something that fits perfectly in our life or personal situations. i like to believe in those particular times, it is God, just reaching out and tapping our shoulder and saying to us, "Hey, I am here with you. I understand."

those messages that touch us so closely to home are always the ones that seem to be the most important to hear.
