Our Heavenly Father,

I know about the cycle of life and I am trying so hard to be at peace... to know that my dog must be taken so that he feels no more pain.. I pray for courage ... the courage for the after... for being on this Earth alone for the first time in my life... I thank you for giving me this dog... that I could experience love for the 14 years that he has been a part of my life..

In Jesus's name
Amen

I know how you feel-we lost our little girl Pug -aka Angel-last March-she was 13 days short of her 12th birthday. She had developed an enlarged heart the previous Oct. which occurs to her straining to breathe because of narrow nostrils. She was on lots of meds and they didn't help; her heart had deteriorated. The day she died, she'd had 2 strokes and couldn't see or stand up. I spent 1/2 hour with her that night-I held her on my chest, cried and gave her back to God. She kissed my arm & we had a sweet time. a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance...
Our next Pug will be a rescued one when the time is right!

My prayers are with you!

Check out rainbowbridge.com-a good resource after you've lost a "furbaby." It was VERY HELPFUL to me after Angel passed. I find comfort in knowing she's in Heaven with all the strawberries she wants! a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance...

I went through the same with my beloved dog. It is a heart-breaking experience. I gave him to God, but I missed him so very much. I cried buckets of tears in dealing with the loss of him. Then one night several months later I had a dream where he came to me and leaned into me as he had always done in life and I hugged him and told him again how much I loved him. Then he moved away from me and turned and looked into my eyes. His eyes told me that he was ok and I did not have to worry about him anymore. Then he turned and walked away. I woke up with a peace in my heart and mind that he was happy and with God. I still miss him but the grief has lessened because of the dream. Allow yourself to grief. Pets are amazing creatures. They give us so much love and devotion, that it is normal to grieve for them like the loss of any member of our family. a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance... a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance...

I would be in pieces if I lost my pet. I know it will never be the same again, but I hope you can find some comfort and soothing...

And do consider a new pet when the time is right. They can't be replaced, but it sure does help to have another pet. And there are so many who need the love, of which you obviously have plenty to give them.

((((freewill)))) I can't say much, because I still mourn the loss of my service dog Figaro (1 year ago last week.) a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance...

I tried for 2 years prior to prepare myself for Figaro's passing (he was old afterall.) I even began to make statements to try and help me (he's "just" a dog!) not feel so much. Nothing worked. This has been the greatest sorrowful upheaval in my life.

If I hadn't had Caleb already (at 9weeks old) I might not have pushed through the sorrow I felt initially. Another thing that helped was that once they adminstered the sleep medicine, before the other med went in, Figaro fell asleep and began snoring. a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance... So that assured me that he didn't feel any more pain, and left peacefully. a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance...

Hold on, it won't kill you, but it sure will put a hole in your heart. a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance... a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance... The only thing that fills that hole is another dog.

I was recently looking at someone as they spoke, and something to the left of them caught my eye. In a daytime vision I "saw" my spirit wolf and alongside him was Figaro! a pray for peace.. for courage.. for acceptance... He is happy and well now, not hurting or sick at all.

Father in heaven, we do humbly come before you to ask for Your peace in our hearts over the loss of loved animals. Thank You for Your caring and showing that You love all the animals and that they all were named to show your caring. We read in Your Word that not even a lowly sparrow falls to the earth without You knowing, because you care so much.
Please be with freewill, and each one of us who has lost a beloved pet and released them back to You. Help us to be comforted knowing that, in heaven, you have our pets waiting for us too. In Christ's name we petition You, amen.
