Hi Recluse1,

I chose that for my signature because I have been amazed at the power of forgiveness. It has astounding power to free me from parts of my past where someone hurt me. It is a choice, not a feeling, and it took me farther from the pain of my past than almost anything else has ever done. It doesn't mean that I allow the offender to get too close unless he/she has made changes in behavior and attitude. I still have to protect myself from certain people, but forgiveness does set me free from what they have done to me. Hugs,

Something to think about: Are your blessings of abundance always intended just for you?

Sometimes God will allow things to come to you, yet they aren't intended soley for you. Instead these things are put into your hands of stewardship to pass along to another. If you have been blessed with plenty, more than enough, perhaps you are to pass a blessing along to someone less fortunate, someone truly in need.

To serve God is to also serve our fellow man, IMHO. Serve with love and compassion for all people.

I pray that we would all see our need as human beings to love and to be loved. That we would not only see it, but dare to act on it!

Beware that we do not become so wrapped up in our own self-pitty that we find ourselves drowning in it. It makes this world a very lonely and miserable place to be.

So true. Guilt and self-pitty are some of the most destructive emotions of darkness. And if we aren't careful we begin to beat ourselves up or alienate ourselves from those that can help us through those tough times.

Sometimes we have to let it go and move forward or we will be swallowed up by the past.

how lwish that l cud let go of the guilt and sefl pity it just makes me realise that l hav so far far to go. my heart is veyr lonely plac rite now l know l hav to forget and move but fel so stuck been so bad how l ask for helps agen cant keep ake with no retunr. l am so lost an cant find rite way

l feel as though l dont deserve it.......dont deserve God to be with me.........l turned my back and walked away because l didnt understnad.............how can l ask him to forgive me yet again.........its like part of me is missing..
l try to go to mass , l cant make it through the door.... l look for the light the sign that l may be once again be free to grow and love...but darkness surrounds me....... l need to free myself of these bad and negative thoughts....... to ofer love and forgiveness.........peace and harmony to really feel and to be free from this pain...too much sity pity l feel

(((((((mandy))))))) I understand how you are feeling. Honestly, I do. I too, walked away and I too turned my back. The guilt of that and the way I was living made me feel so ashamed. Even to the point of not feeling I was worthy of another chance.

Until I realized that I was judging myself by what "people" think of me and not seeing that God doesn't see me the same way they do. Or even the same way that I saw myself.

God's love and His capacity to forgive are far greater than what He is given credit for. He loved me when I couldn't even love myself. He was willing to forgive me and give me a fresh start when I felt I was already out of reach and at the end. We are never out of His reach. He is always right there with us, just waiting for our invitation, for us to give Him the opportunity to be active in our lives and help us heal and become whole again. All we have to do is ask.

Don't give up on God and He will never give up on you!
