"I don't think its IMPOSSIBLE to go into something with pure intentions, however i do feel that its VERY easy for intentions to be influenced by what we THINK we need or want."

</div></font></blockquote><font class="post">

certainly a mother is a person capable of pure intention... the desire to feed her child is an intention influenced by the needs and wants of her child.. pure...

a man mowing the grass has a pure intention of doing a neat and respectable job.. influenced by a need to feed his family.. pure intention...

a pastor, a priest, a person practicing transcendental meditation, a judge, a cop, a lawyer, your neighbor, a truck driver... all can have pure, good intentions and many do accomplish their goals of pure intention... we just dont hear about it on the news... we have become the society of doubters..

all of us at PC are trying to 'purify our hearts' of the pains we've endured.. we all grow and become more pure in our intention.... and of course our intention is influenced by our wants... this is why its so important to know what we want.. when our intention aligns with the good of those around us, all things become possible for us... its when we seek to harm others that Spirit will close its doors.. unless we know what we want, we are like children waiting for cotton candy.. its a rumor we heard once that there might be some if we are good...

but if we know what we want, we can begin to seek it out, choose it, educate ourselves about it, try it, talk to others who claim to know about it...

we often wait for a strike of lightening to show us the way... we can simply walk out of here and go find it.. its there for those who choose...

intention and energy is a very powerful combination we all have access to..

</font><blockquote><div id="quote"><font class="small">Quote:</font>
And I also try and remember that there are two types of pure compassion - One i will call "idiot compassion" and one I will call "pure compassion"

</div></font></blockquote><font class="post">

Spirit understands this difference.. when we try to help those around us with the co-dependent type help, Spirit realizes this is only allowing an unhealthy cycle to continue and the suffering is then transferred from the original party to both parties... each then become comiserating individuals with spiritually toxifying results.. neither is allowed to grow, and prosperity is weakened... what is lost is the actual healing that is required to perform life changing miracles for all involved...

when we approach a suffering individual with pure intention, assist them with finding their true need, then the giver is blessed with feelings of true peace within themselves and the receiver is taught tools that help them cope... its a win win situation that self perpetuates and grows in energy over time, making the healer stronger and creating a healer from what was once a suffering individual...

often we think compassion is enough, but repetitive and draining cycles should be stopped and remedied for true healing to occur...

sorry this got off clairvoyants in a way, but in general, we are talking about the spirit within each of us that drives us forward to heal ourselves...

when one wishes to learn baseball, he or she uses the tools of the game until they become proficient.. it is no different with Spirit...

think of the times you have created something.. even if it is cleaning the house.. you have the spirit to clean the house... it is this kind of spirit, in combination with the spirit of others which can clean a neighborhood, a community, a nation... we all have spirit about something.. let your spirit grow and you may find unimaginable energy.. combined with the right intentions , the impossible can become possible

sorry if this is not exactly clear, its all up there in my mind, getting it out here in words that others can understand is challenging and is best and easiest accomplished in small doses..

bottom line, never give up faith, hope or belief... many of us have read small articles about the supernatural and filed away the ideas for future consideration but in the hustle and bustle of daily life, we havent time to pursue our interests.. some interests can change your life...

like others have said, this type of business is fertile ground for fakers... use your discernment.. if it feels or sounds true to you and you really cant disprove it in the moment, allow it to rest in your mind.. you will naturally be drawn to it another time when you will add new information... over time you might begin to believe the impossible... i would suggest you allow yourself to do this if there is some yearning inside which wont let you fully disbelieve... everything happens for a reason... spirit has the power you think it does..

I long for that sense of self. I have given and changed and adapted too much to convenience others or to become what I think they wanted me to be or become. I lost my self identity along the way. Nowhere, i loved your post! very insightful.

I liked what you said about creative spirit. Very true - in fact when it comes down to it, we are all creating our own reality every second of every day! In that we choose(to some level) how to perceive that which is around us.

Ingridave, if you are looking to connect and meditate, there is a wonderful book on guided imagery(a form of meditation) called The Arthurian Quest: Living the Legends of Camelot (Llewellyn's Celtic Wisdom Series) that walks you through guided imagery of going back into camelot times and actually meeting Merlin, I found it quite good for sparking creativity because you work your imagination, and imagination and creativity are closely tied with our inner children, which are more open to Spirit than most adults - so the more in touch you are with the inner you the more you should feel that spirit.

I can get you some basic Shambala meditation explanation and steps if you like - just let me know.

Oh yes, heres the link to that book -

I am still seeking a clairvoyant. Perhaps it is more a matter of what-if. I am beginning to feel though that what I need to do comes from within. Meanwhile, I see my doc on the 10th and I have a letter from teh former Therapist I had seen. The letter sums up pretty well where she saw my problems focused mostly. Prescription meds will probably be involved in the treatment, but I have to seek out a guide of some kind. I am a people person more than a reader or self-help person. I need interaction with others. And yet...I avoid others with social anxiety. Perhaps a soul search would feel less clinical and more intimate or more personal. I have always wanted to take the journey back and re-examine but I have also heard warnings of possible regret or drumming up bad memories and the negative influence it could have. I am not certain but I feel strong (or maybe stubborn lol) with this wish to revisit.

I couldn't believe I was reading that statement, because it is an exact description of me as well. Also, describing how your paths have been chosen by others or by responses to the needs of others.
I will be interested to hear how you progress in finding a clairvoyant or a person who may be able to guide you.

On a spiritual or connection level, this thread is interesting because there are people here to whom I do feel connected.

Me too.......

I would also like to know how your search works out, if you want to share it.

I did this back some years, not to the extent you wish to go, but I had a healing session (she was also a Phd.). This Dr. was also an advisor to a judge and other people of influence. A friend found her and included me in a visit to meet her.

I was so broken at the time, and emotionally beaten down, that I truly couldn't imagine getting past this heavy helpless feeling and the sense of dread and failure and I also thought I was losing what was left of my mind, so I was pretty scared.

Well, I went to another state where she lived, to her home, and I do believe I emerged 2 hours later a better person, some heavy things were lifted off me for good.

I can't explain it. I'll try but I'd rather wait for you to meet with a real deal who can help you heal, where you need it most.

to be continued ... hopefully.

peace and love,
night

Thank you, Patty and Night. I am happy to hear, night, that the visit brought positive results for you.

I was reading a book today called Happiness. I will have to find the author. The book was saying how we often seek external solutions and teh input of others to solve our problems of unhappiness while the only solution comes from seeking within ourselves. The problem is....I don't KNOW how to seek inside of myself and find the solutions. That is why I need guidance. I know what I must do. I just don't know how to do it.

This is where I find regular therapists to lack something. Part of the therapy is very important...the discussions. They tell we what I should do ...like letting go of certain things. But they don't tell how I can let go of certain things. This is where I feel a spiritual guide would best help me.

I will keep you all informed as I go. Meanwhile, I am going to get supper going for my boys and me. Be back later.

Ingrid
