I like just about everything too! I don't like country so much but anything else is totally fair game, my music library is very diverse!

That's awesome

You should make a thread in the Videos and Lyrics forum and post music videos you like.

I feel like falling asleep sitting up right now. I'm going to go ahead and force myself through the rest of my school work so I can relax.

I've got a busy week coming up:
Monday: Several tests from college
Tuesday: pdoc appointment to get my shot
Wednesday: Grocery shopping with my mom
Thursday: Group
Friday: New tattoo

Wow you are busy! You seem to function really well in spite of your illness, that's fantastic! You're a really strong person, I hope you can see that!

You're on Invega right? I'm considering that for an AP, how does it work for you? Invega is one of the few AP's I haven't tried yet.
Thanks for this!

Thank you Atypical, that means a lot to me! It's taken a long time to get to here, even though it doesn't seem that way. I have had mental health problems wince 14 with suicide attempts, anxiety, panic attacks, depression. Yes, I'm on Invega Sustenna. It works great, I have had no paranoia at all since being on it. As far as I know it's the only med that is specifically labeled to treat Schizoaffective Disorder. The shot lasts 30 days, I get 117mg IM every month. I'm also on some other meds, Depakote, Paxil, Hydroxyzine, and Trazodone.

You're welcome, you've obviously come a long way and you have so much to be proud of!

My mental health issues really took off when I was 14, also. So we have that in common.

Invega is actually approved for Schizoaffective Disorder specifically? I didn't know that! I'm going to mention this to my psychiatrist and see what she thinks, it sounds like it's working really well for you.

I need a new mood stabilizer, I was on depakote before but it was giving me really awful side effects so I had to come off it. I can't take antidepressants at all, they always send me into a mixed or manic episode. I've tried lamictal but I got the rash thing so I had to come off that too! Grr the med go-round can be so frustrating!

I take Trazadone as well and I take it for sleep, it's the only thing besides AP's that help me sleep well.

There's Lithium which I would never personally touch again after what happened but it helps some people. And then there's tegretol which I don't know much about.

I hope you find something that works!

Thank you, I'm considering lithium. I started a thread in the bipolar forum asking for personal experiences with it. I know everyone responds differently but it still helps to get a good idea of how it typically affects people good or bad.

I've switched from mixed to hypomanic, lol I'm so euphoric right now! I'm just glad it's happy hypo and not irritable hypo.
Thanks for this!

Good morning,
I am nervous about an emergency board meeting so I woke up at 3-4 then took a klonopin so ,now I'm a little slow. Other than that, symptoms are at a minimum -so far

I'm sorry you're feeling nervous. I take Klonopin as well and it really helps me a lot. I hope your day goes alright.

That's interesting about symptoms kicking in at age 14. That's about when mine started, too. I had some paranoia / trust issues in elementary school, but the voices started the summer I turned 14.

Also, I have pretty diverse music tastes, too. I love going on Amazon for free music downloads. Music has helped me through some really rough times.

Oh wow that is interesting. I think 14 is a difficult age even under normal circumstances so I think it stands to reason that people who are prone to developing mental illness would start to show signs that they aren't well when they've hit puberty and all that.

Took a few hour nap, really needed it. I'm struggling with eating healthy, I want some chocolate milk so bad! Lol I decided to have a sugar free popsicle instead, it's good but it's not chocolate milk.

Glad you got some good rest.

I struggle with eating healthy too, I'm a picky eater and a lot of the foods that I actually like fall into the unhealthy range. I'm trying to do better but it's a daily challenge for me and when I'm PMS'ing I forget it all and eat a bunch of chocolate and other junk food. Lol I'm so bad.

Lol I am still going to have treats now and then, I have to. I can't completely restrict myself.

I finished all my school stuff, finally. There was so much of it! I had a lot of trouble getting motivated this week for some reason.

I just bought a party tray of veggies with ranch dip. I sit on the couch and eat it. It has broccoli, tomatoes (which I can't eat), celery, and carrots

The tremors stopped after I ate dinner, I barely ate lunch and breakfast. That's probably what caused them.

I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight as I practically slept all day.

I'm thinking of sabotaging my diet and starting fresh when I get groceries in here.

That sounds really good worthit, I've been craving veggies and ranch dip lately.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I'm feeling a lot better and I start my last semester at my current college tomorrow which is exciting because I'll finally have a college degree in a few months (:

It's officially I've switched from mixed to hypomanic, which can be bad it if it goes full blown mania but I'm not at that poibnt yet. Hypo=less dangerous than mixed like seriously I almost killed myself when I was in that awful mixed episode just three days ago. Omg how awful but now I feel ****ing incredible! Hahahah. Glad that's over, mixed episodes always kick my ***.

Now just gotta be careful because you know, full blown mania bad bad BAD. Worried a bit about this hypo turning into that but too happy to care too much.

That's great medicalfox! It's going to take me a really long time to get my associates since I'm doing it online and am only taking a few classes each year, but I could either be with a degree in 5 years or without one and I'd rather be with one.

Atypical, I love hypomania. It's a shame it usually turns into mania.

I slept all night even though I slept most of the day yesterday, I seem to get really tired from Depakote.

I have to study today because I have like 4 tests to take tomorrow.
