Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow.

I dont understand and Im afraid that if others around me know about me fears and worries and thoughts they will lock me up.

Hi Dervish,
I think if you are going to send people to that website, you should at least be upfront to what it is.

"intouch.org is a ministry that states,
Our mission is to lead people worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus christ and to strengthen the local church."

Sorry for the interruption irish_angel.

Just trying to let people know what they're in for.

If it's somewhere you want to be than by all means go.

No disrespect intended,

do you have schizotypal?

why are you worried that they'll lock you up. They can't put you in a hospital unless you are a dnager to yourself or others or are having significant problems taking care of yourself. Even if that happens, you wont be locked up for long..probably a week or two. How old are you? if you are 18 or over, you have even less of a chance of being put into a hospital involuntarily.

I've been hospitalized quite a few times, for being a danger to myself and being extreamly psychotic, but i wasn't there for very long...about a week each time.
