I'm so sorry you are being bombarded by voices. It must be really difficult to get through the day.

What meds are you on? Does your doc know the voices have gotten worse? Are you under extra stress now for some reason?

I know...lot's of questions!

Take care and keep posting. emmy

Hi Tammy,

I used to hear voices too. Most of it was my OCD monster telling me to do certain things or else someone would get hurt or die. But when I was younger I used to hear many voices at the same time, sort of like the sound you hear when you enter a theater or symphony hall. I guess you'd call it the "din". I used to hear that as I would lay my head on my pillow. It was very disconcerting and disturbing. I'm currently on Lexapro which really helps and I don't have any side effects except a little bit lower sex drive. If you're not on any meds, I highly recommend you go and see a behavioral health professional as soon as possible. Feel free to private message me if you want to talk more.

Good luck and please take comfort in the fact that there is help out there and lots of support here!

I know how hard that can be.

I have had hallucinations with severe mania before.

Are you seeing a doctor or taking meds? let us know how you are doing.

Here is a website with a few tips. I found some of them to be a bit helpful.

*hugs* thanks everyone. No I'm not seeing a doc anymore. I used to be on meds but they never worked. The last time they put me in a mental ward (I've been in Five)they said the only hope for me now is Shock therapy and I just won't do that. I have had no health Care since I turned 22. I've tried getting state help but they say my mom and dad make too much money and I should be under their Health care but I'm too old now. It sucks.

My voices shut up last tuesday for a few hours. I got to sleep but they are back now but not screaming I can deal with them if they are not screaming.

If you're 22 and trying to get state help, then why should it matter how much money your parents make? I know this might be a stupid question, but I'm just wondering. I hope somehow you can find a way to get the treatment you need!! Best of luck to you.

I have C.p cerebral palsy too. So somehow the state said I won't be an adult till i'm 25. They claim me as a dependent on their taxes. I live at home most of the time. I live with my b\f sometimes. My Dad works at ford Last year he made 98 thousand so they said I couldn't get state anything. My sister who is twenty she's got 2 kids she tried to get welfare and they said if she moves out she can but since she's living at home she can't because dad makes too much.

Hi!

I'm sorry that I'm weighing in on this a little late. Bless your heart, I feel for you and wish you the best of luck. It's definitely easier to deal with the voices and what I term "interference" in your head when it's not so loud. When it gets to be too much for you, feel free to come on here and post there are definitely alot of people here who can relate to what you're going through. I think you should be able to get help from the state, perhaps they have a county/state mental health department, they do here where I live. Sometimes they'll see you for a very small fee or free. It's worth a try if you can.

Take care and good luck!
Kimberly.
