Mental illness takes a toll on a family. It IS hard, when your child is suffering. You'd like to "fix it" and make it better. It can be very stressful, and it certainly does bring lots of heartache, and a lot of other feelings like depression, guilt, helplessness, etc. I don't know how one could NOT be affected when it concerns someone you love.

I'm watching tv right now and that's helping a bit. I'm just so sick of this. Thank you. It's hard not to believe the things they say. I've been hearing them for so long.

most days im okay. It just builds up and when she is havng symptoms that last a long time it gets hard. But I will be okay after getting some sleep.
My breakdowns tend to be intense but last for just a short while.

My husband is permanently disabled too. And its winter. All a recipe for disaster.

I get those kind ok voices too. It's not fun at all. Do you believe what the voices are telling you? Sometimes I do and I have a hard time with that. I'd say try not to believe what the voices are telling you. You're needed in this world.

I try not to believe it but it's hard. I've been hearing them for so long it just wears me down.
