good morning...

im going to my moms house on sunday to hang out with her and my sister. im excited. i havent seen my mom since spook (my old cat) died. that was like a month ago.

i meet with T today. i wish we met in the morning. i sit around and think about it too much when its in the afternoon and i get all worked up. like anxious. nervous to see him and what hes gonna say. especially about my meds. it will be ok though. he is always gentle

newtus- im glad u made a new appointment. i know how scary it is to change pdocs. i, for the most part, have found goodones. but when i was a teen i was in a place where there was a bad one that would dope me up to control me. i think its good u are looking for other pdocs that are more willing to work with you rather than just control ur symptoms any way possible. i hope it works out for u, i really do

gr3tta- toby still sits in his box. sometimes he jumps in it real fast and hides. he plays a lot. im still getting used to his personality. my old cat was just really chill and predictable. toby is strange and hyper. not that i dont like it but it takes getting used to. sometimes he jumps up to the middle part of the window where u open it and just hangs there with his front paws hanging on to the ledge. im like wtf are u doing cat. lol

i retalked to my dad today because he said i thought i was was making a new therapist appt and and i said "no a new pdoc..." and he looked at me and said "well i dont blame you because we have to drive so far but dont mess yourself over". basically he meant (besides the driving so far) that to keep taking my meds. he said "are yuo gonna tell her about your last shot" and i just "...yea". :/ :/ :/

i guess i better tell her im on the shot....idk how to go about doing that though. beceause they know why people get the shots. for noncompliance. and thats not what i want her to think of me.

im real nervous about what my dad thinks.

Well, I would tell them about the shots. But tell them that there are concerns because you feel you are too much medicine and the side effects are making it hard to function. Let them know you're compliant taking your haldol at home, too, and that when you talk about the side effects no one is listening. I mean, if you go into it with the attitude of a responsible patient, I think you'll get a better response. Also, don't project your anxiety of what you think they are thinking into their heads. Everyone is different, and there are doctors out there who will listen.

I think your dad just wants you to be well. But, if you show him you can make decisions like this and continue working toward being well, then it will be good for both of you.

Gr3tta: I never did get that picture to go away in Roll Call 16. It frustrated me to the max! I'm so glad we are in a new Roll Call now because the picture is gone now! Hooray!

Newtus: I wish you luck at your appointment. Please keep us posted on how it goes.

It's nice and sunny here today, so my Dad & I walked the dogs along the coast and then went to a little coffee shop to make the most of the weather, as it's due to rain again tomorrow. It's amazing how much better things feel when the sun shines

In Dallas, Texas it is cold and some black ice on the streets from yesterday's inch of snow. My school cancelled but my kid's high school did not cancel. So Daisy and I are enjoying a snuggle down day in front of the television. I am doing my laundry too but for the most part I am going to stay in my bed today. I appreciate this three day weekend. I LOVE when my boss calls off school and we get to stay home and still receive pay. That's awesome!

I don't know why they keep schools open when the weather is dangerously bad. Like we've had a week's worth of days 0 and below and the roads are sheets of ice. But the schools are open. Yesterday it was -10 all day long. Especially for elementary school kids that's dangerous.... but school's open.... grrrr

You know it's been cold when 0 degrees actually feels warmer....

We hardly ever get snow days. They just put chains on the school bus tires. Even when it was -25 during a couple of days last month they still went to school! Ha ha
But the bigger cities closed school just the small towns dont. Hmmm
Maybe because most get bussed to school around here and in cities a lot walk?

I live in a big city and they don't shut us down. I live in a huge metropolitan area, actually... the country shuts down here and the city stays open. I remember one year when I was a teenager it snowed in April. Huge branches were falling off of the trees and crushing cars due to the weight of it. A few people were even killed by falling branches that day. But, we were in school that day....

I also live in a district where all the surrounding areas will close but not us. Many times parents have complained about this.

Cracking: 0 degrees and colder is crazy. It actually is cold in your lungs and the air feels sharp when you breathe. We get into the single digits every year but -10 is really cold for us. It's not a record here, though. -25 I would call into work even. LOL.

It's horrifying. But it's also sad that it takes someone who's attractive, articulate, and likely better off financially to get attention to this issue.

I haven't read the whole article yet, but I gather her siblings were in on this somehow. Maybe they called her pdoc to say she was suicidal? Seriously who wouldn't be in a bad state of mind given the circumstances?
