It has been raining a lot lately, which is disappointing after I enjoyed the recent sunshine so much, but I did get this pretty photo of raindrops:

The lovely little thread of happiness :)

The irises are out in my mum's garden, which inspired me to (FINALLY!) have a go at doing some iris folding in a card for my friend:

The lovely little thread of happiness :)

The lovely little thread of happiness :)

It wasn't as difficult as I anticipated, but it requires a lot of preparation to measure, cut and fold the paper strips so I think it will only be an occasional technique for me. I did like the result though

Thanks Sometimes! I'm always pleased with myself when a photo comes out in focus cos I shake so much Plus, when I took that, the bush was blowing in the breeze too cos it's been so windy lately.

I like the irises, but I've taken some photos of ones at Uni that I preferred more. I like how this one has furry bits, which the purple ones don't:

I am a new member. I do not have a real support group. mostly alienated myself from people in general.Thought i would test this. Well to start i just had another psychotic episode little worst then the last.
Possible trigger:
The happy thing though is at the hospital again i got saved learned all that happened was not real again started taking meds more regularly and just happy to be alive. Reconnected with family members again. And friends. It feels really good to have that episode right before the summer. Can't wait to enjoy this summer for once.
Only thing I can't concentrate much on a book or movie except short comedy shows. Sure will pass. I hope you all enjoy the summer

Welcome to PC Myrael

We'd love to see some of your photos if you want to share them in this thread. There's a 'how to' guide here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/tutor...your-post.html
Unfortunately it seems that the photos in it don't work anymore, but I hope that it makes sense anyway. If not, give us a shout and we'll try to explain how it works.

Something I started writing at the hospital had lost chain of thought now managed to finish.
Tell me what you honestly think?

Those blue faced horns once paid me a visit
Said little brother you need to let
Me wash your old sins with new sins
The new sins left me with scars
I could never wash away
During The last visit
The blue faced frightened at my strength
Bowed at my faith
No longer spat at my face
No longer directed my colors
I draw the lines chose the colors
The machine glowed beautiful colors
I inhaled every color
Red green blue yellow or mellow
Came from within me the shadow
The shadow and me once
Two detached from each other
Now beautifully embraced one another
The shadow once hated my mother
Frightened by murder
Locked the doors and chairs No longer
Thanks for this!

I like that. I'm quite picky about poetry it has to speak to me and your poem did. Good job

I'm almost ready to start building my clock. All I have to do now is come up with an artistic design for the front plate. Once I'm done that I'll post a sketch of my clock.

A few days ago I finished making a miniature version of my pendulum and escapement. I tested it and used this opportunity to improve my design. It works quite well.

Yesterday I bought a miniature cuckoo clock made by Engstler at the Salvation Army Thrift Store for 99 cents. It is a simple little clock (time only) that doesn't have a cuckoo announcing the hour. There is a bird that moves back and forth, though.

The pendulum and key are missing.

This morning I took the clock apart, so I could calculate the pendulum length which came out to 8.1 cm. After that I put it back together and made a pendulum out of copper wire and a coin that had a hole in the center. I then made a little test stand. For that I used three alarm clock plates and some screws. All I had to do was make one screw hole, file and cut one of the plates. I set up the little movement on the test stand and put the pendulum on it. It has been running now for about 2 hours. This really made my day.

I'm amazed at how loud this little (5 cm x 3.5 cm) movement is.

I just made $30 for filling out a Canadian media and product survey. It was long and took over an hour to complete. The company called me and asked if I would fill it out online. At first I thought it was a scam. It turned out to be legit. I was able to verify it.

I'm not a typical person, so I don't know if I was very helpful. A lot of the questions didn't apply to me, because I'm not into mainstream culture. I was asked about television programs and magazines. There were a lot of questions on beauty products and perfume, which I don't use. I must have came across as boring, since I don't watch television, have a tablet and/or cellphone and have social media accounts.
