Yeah... the hospitals kept pushing that illness on me and I don't feel like I am. I don't recall doing anything or saying anything that would make them think "oh it's BPD". I've looked up the symptoms and it just doesn't fit.

So does dr Phil really think bipolar is less sick than sz....I mean mania with psychosis is supposed to be pretty intense....I don't know that more transient or at least more variable equates with less sick...

I'm not sure I could just rank them given the broad range of individuals....I mean what about elyn saks or Kay Jameson vs everyone else....

I'm not sure if it's just him or more confirmation of my theory that psychologists really don't get psychosis at all.

Yeah... the residential centers are no good. I have yet to hear anything "good" about residential centers they send your children to.

This. This is true. My psychologist just didn't listen to anything that I had to say that may be deemed 'psychotic'. She just didn't want to know. It ended up that all I could talk about was how I was feeling and not anything that was making me feel that way.

Actually thinking about it it reminds me of my parents asking if my doctor used the S word or not....like it was fine that I was hearing voices as long as it's not sz....

idk but dr phil i think what ert or atypical said - i forgot who - "minimized" his symptoms. the guy is clearly psychotic and clearly troubled. yes he has anger issues and is violent and has some drinking and i think drug issues but IF the guy is psychotic apart from all the substance abuse issues then i think it was more than "just bipolar" or whatever dr phil was puttig it as. dr phil stated it as "i dont think youre as sick as you think you are". to the guy. yea i forgot to mention the guy has substance abuse issues. which could be where his violence comes from. on the commercials and the beginning they made a big issues about how he was making weapons in his parents home.

He could just have drug induced psychosis too...some people go back to normal when they get clean.....

Part of me wishes I had seen the show but a bigger part worries that I would have thrown something at the screen at some key moment....

Yeah, even the guy who had a show on lifetime promoting them has stopped and issued a public statement saying heal (an organization trying to get the abusive ones shut down) has educated him and he wont be sending any more teens to them.

Well I withdrew in the hospital. We only were allowed real coffee at breakfast.

She was nice. The generic for depakote is hard to pronounce. I got some diet root beer, it's my favorite soda.

I love root beer. Not sure if I'm happy or not that it's not caffeinated. I want to try diet root beer. What brand do you normally get?

Funny that I have to ask the pharmacist for psuedoephendrine pills. Good thing I didn't also buy drain cleaner and lysol.

You've mention you have DID... as far as I know of there's no medication for DID but for intensive therapy. Could it be that your Pdoc wants to push meds or something?
Thanks for this!
