Good morning! I really need to clean my room, it's a total disaster. Not sure how I've let it go on this way for as long as I have, will attempt to organize now

I think it was a mistake to come back here. I'm paranoid someone will find this account. I might not use it anymore.

Yeah.. it's normal Pretty much all colleges have summer coursework that is available for all but maybe certain specialized courses. If you can handle it, you can get through your degree program faster doing it that way.

That's really good, I think you can only do that over here if you're doing a masters. Bachelors degree's are (from what I know) a September to May thing over here, with two 12 week semesters. I don't know if I'd be able to take classes over the summer, not after two full semesters. My brain can't handle that stress

if someone is not able to handle the stress its best not to do it. over summer i mean. im already stressed out. but crescentmoon is right. if you do it over summer you can finish faster.

school over here is 16 week semesters. usually (normally) from august to december. then january to may.

Lol @ someone who puts you on ignore because you simply stated that their symptoms sound like BPD and not Bipolar, get over it.

I was never in that position but thinking about it now, if I knew I could finish my degree faster I'm sure I would have opted to study over the Summer. When I was in college I didn't have any mental health issues so it would have been easier for me than it would be now.

Well done though Newtus for taking on that challenge, you seem really dedicated to getting your degree!

Personally I can't wait either... I hate going to bed in a light room & being woken up by the light early in the morning too. I prefer to sleep in as close to total darkness as I can.

Why aren't you a fan of the winter newtus?

I'm much the same with alcohol. I used it as a social lubricant / release when I was at University but really there's a risk of it becoming a coping mechanism if you do that. Now I'm much better & just drink once in a while although I'll admit sometimes I drink as a release still. Hard to break old habits.

I've done so much better since I did some talk therapy for my anxiety though. Now I know better ways to deal with my stress head on. It's the best route to go down if you want to make long-term changes. I'd really recommend trying some form of therapy if you want to make a lasting difference.

@loial

because i hate the cold. i can stand out in 95 degree weather and soak up the sun with no problem. it feels good to me. plus the driving conditions are harsh with ice and sometimes snow. i cant go anywhere. on the plus side i get to wear my long sleeve clothes tho. i love fall the best because its just the right temp to wear my clothes plus i can still go places without harsh driving conditions. spring is humid and tornados come. summer is too hot. winter has harsh conditions for driving. so fall is right up my alley.

Yeah that all makes sense. I like winter because of the dark & the snow when it comes. I guess the reason I'm not put off by snow or ice is because I don't drive. Maybe that'll change one day but I don't plan on getting a car anytime soon. No need to living in a city.
