First of all... I've seen pics of you here and you definitely are.

Secondly... it's a crop top. Not exactly sexy track gear.

Thirdly... you're not out in public you're in front of medical professionals.

Personally I couldn't give a feck if a doctor or nurse saw me in my bra or a top like that. Yeah I wouldn't go running in the street wearing it in the shape I'm in but these guys are professionals. Do you really think they care what you look like or what you're wearing?

Edited because I'm an arsehole!

They do. They joke about people's bodies all the time. You'd be surprised what they do to people who are alone and vulnerable. That's the place where the worst crap I've ever been through happened.

I reckon you could. I mean, if this girl could do it, you could totally do it, anyone can... I totally wouldn't though :P This is actually an interesting read. Fair play to this lady.

I'd wear her croptop anytime. Does it make me creepy that I'd want to sniff it too? lol

Question: does anyone here every get high off benzo's? I've taken them before for anxiety and once or twice for recreational use and I never felt any type of 'buzz'. When I was anxious (and I had to be really anxious) I would get slightly relaxed but no more than what a joint would do. I know all the junkies up in the city sell 'blueys' (Diazepam 10mg) like mad and they're really popular for recreational drug use and also abuse. I've never seen the appeal myself.

Also, are they psychologically addictive as well as physically?

Yes, they're addictive in every way. Psychologically the person gets used to a pill offering relief from anxiety and the more you take the greater your physical tolerance becomes until you have to take much higher amounts for the same results.

I don't know about psychologically addictive as I'm not psychologically addicted to them, but unfortunately physically I am... It pisses me off; I hate benzos.

they are addictive in both senses. i used to abuse benzos. i would pair them with painkillers and sometimes heroin.

Are any other non addictive medications available for acute/chronic anxiety? I know some doctors prescribe AP's and SSRI's but I suppose it doesn't work for everyone otherwise benzo's wouldn't exist.

I don't understand how a doctor could let a patient become physically addicted to benzo's. There has to be other options than long term benzo use. Is it a lack of funding for therapy? Just not their problem once the patient isn't in crisis? Madness.
Thanks for this!

There's Buspar, but it didn't work for me. My pdoc said she's never had success with Buspar on any patient. (My previous pdoc was the one giving it to me, because he refused to give me benzos despite a respectable history of using them properly).

I don't see the appeal of benzos either. I get them and use the as prescribed. I've never noticed a buzz
