Morning.. I slept excessively again.. I think it's my meds. I have to go to spine therapy tomorrow, maybe I should skip meds tonight so I can wake up on time tomorow.. Idk. Anyone ever felt like your legs are "anxious" and you have to keep on moving them or you would feel uncomfortable? Like restless legs?

Yes.

If it is caused by APs, then it's known as Akathisia... otherwise it's Restless Leg Syndrome.

It started for me after I went on APs, but then has continued even off them. There's no doubt that it resembled Akathisia & was worse on APs, but it's just strange it should still be affecting me.

I guess that means it's RLS, but it doesn't bother me too much so I've never talked to my doctor about it for a diagnosis or anything.

What it basically amounts to for me, is moving my feet back and forth in bed at night. It's almost subconscious, but if I stop then I get a sensation like pins & needles. It's also worse if I've been drinking or haven't wound down properly for bed.

That's great, I love yoga and have started it again for flexibility----I put in my workout though and it burned like 60 calories in 20 minutes----I would have thought it was more....I guess you can't have everything....

yea i read you dont burn many calories doing a normal yoga routine. but i like the flexibility. i learned i wasnt that flexible as i thought.

it was in the downtown square in the city next over. my legs kept shaking because i wasnt able to hold up my body in warrior pose. i wasnt able to balance myself. i sorta think my balance is bad because of my chiari malformation in the back of my brain where my brain grew into my spinal cord. that controls balance supposedly.

but at the end we laid down an put a towel over our eyes and she said "let the peace flow in and out of your lungs". so that was very peaceful.

its at least good for stretching in the morning.

Newtus I did yoga yesterday and felt very relaxed. I realized I have to stretch more bc I am not flexible at all. I'm going to try to do yoga twice a week. I have to lose weight and yoga Will get the juices flowing. I just found out I have high glucose and cholesterol and the last thing I want is to take more meds. UGH!!

im pissed.
yet my appt with the fill in therapist is monday but i only get to see her for 30 minutes. i just feel like canceling it too. its like a 40 minutes drive just to be there for 30 minutes.

they stated my therapist was still on medical leave for her back surgery so i cant see her til the 28th and i was supposed to see her this teusday. last time i saw her was in november...Roll Call 69

should i just cancel with the fill in therapist too? honestly i see no point in going at all for 30 minutes when i cant see my regular therapist on teusday.

I've considered trying yoga but have never got around to it. I don't have any transportation and the closest place that may have classes is far from here, I may give a beginners yoga dvd a try though sometime, I'm also currently trying to lose weight and be healthier overall

Do you have something better to do? If so cancel...if not see it as just getting a little bit of social interaction.....

My favorite is stress relief yoga by suzanne deason---its very easy but you need a brick and a strap to do it----I don't know any that have no props.

Newtus sorry to hear about your screwy cancellation but try going you may get something out of it. I'm like you in talking myself out of going to my therapy but feel glad I did it afterwards. I drag myself around a lot. Good luck!
