There was a lot of drama getting her to the hospital. She fell in a narrow corridor in the care home, so they couldn't get the trolley up there. Had to use some form of stretcher that is in two halves that you slide under & join together. They also decided giving her gas wasn't an option because of her dementia since she'd probably get confused & wouldn't keep the mask in place, but had some trouble finding veins on her to give her morphine.

My Mum says she is very confused & was in a lot of pain yesterday.

I was a bit worried, obviously she is very old & quite frail at the moment too so wasn't sure whether she'd be suitable to operate on. Hopefully it'll all go ok but given her age etc. I doubt she'll fully recover from this.

She is in my thoughts. I hope all goes well with her surgery.

@Kori - I know how you feel. I did consider getting an Android phone recently, but I just couldn't bear the thought of giving up everything I have got used to with iPod Touch/iPhone over the years.
Frankly I think iPhones are overrated. I have one and it's great and all but Apple keeps doing all these BS iOS updates that make me want to throw things.

Hi everyone. I hope you all have a good day. Not much going on here getting ready to watch the game with the kids. I'll be sad when football is over.
I'm trying to get used to the iPad. I don't really use it since using my phone is so easy but I'm trying

We got things mostly ready for mom to be cremated. We're going to sprinkle some of her ashes where my grandparents are buried, and a small amount of the ashes will go into memorial locket necklaces for me and my sister, and all the rest will be planted using a bio-urn which will turn into a Japanese Maple tree

You are probably right. They have some great features but so do the Samsung Galaxy phones.

In the end of the day, it's just what I'm used to. That & I use iTunes for my music so it's handy for syncing. I believe there is a program for syncing iTunes library onto a android phones but I'd rather do everything in one place.

Yeah, a friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy and she let me play around with it and I liked it just as much as I like my iPhone.

For me it's mostly down to what you said, I use iTunes for my music too lol so it's just easier and I'm lazy sooo yep.

Wow. I kind of take them for granted... had one since I was 13:

Roll Call 70

^ Back before they teamed up with Sony, which now is ancient history itself too. (Sony Ericsson that is...)

This was my second phone, which was in colour & had a camera... was a pretty big deal at the time:

Roll Call 70

After that, nothing that interesting.

I threw out all my old phones when I moved flats earlier this year. I think I had all of them apart from that first one.

gosh i dont even remember what my first phone was, only that it was one of the nokia bricks and it was one of the pay-as-you-go phones where you'd add like $20 and it would be 10c a minute? i'd get in trouble because i'd spend all my month's phone credit on ringtones

I'm really anxious. My husband went to work and I totally forgot he was leaving. I wanted him to spend time with the kids. Now I'm bummed and don't know what to do. I have math homework to do with my son and baking with my daughter but I need my husband to support the baking. He's a natural with it. I'm so worked up and I don't know why. Soo much anxiety!! Took a pill to calm down hope it works. It's hard to hide these feelings from my kids. Hard to raise confident kids with my moods.

I had a Nokia phone that never broke and I dropped it more times than I could count, dropped it INTO WATER and it didn't even shut off, threw it into a wall, etc and I had it for three years of my life that I'm not getting back. Lol.
