It sounds like you did the right thing.

You've had a lot happen over the past couple of months, so I think it's probably only natural that you are having ups & downs at the moment.

I hope the appointment helps you towards feeling better soon but remember we are all here if you need us.

I have no choice but to come off the invega,
She suggests clozaril or just taking the Stelazine on its own instead of two APs.

I don't know anything about clozaril but I thought it was heavy duty.

Why are you coming off invega?

Clozaril requires constant blood monitoring but if it works for you its like a miracle.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that.
Clozaril requires frequent blood draws. I think it is pretty heavy duty, I believe it's used when other APs haven't worked.

I'm on clozaril at the moment but I haven't been on it that long so I don't think it's done anything yet. It makes me drowsy and I have a bit more saliva than usual. It is meant to be more effective from what I've heard. I have blood tests every week to check my white blood cell count and the crisis Team come out to my house to check my blood pressure and temperature (there weren't any beds available at the hospital).

I have to stop Invega because its causing really high prolactin for me
I saw an endocrynologist and she said that stopping Invega would be the best thing for me to do right now

I have tried other APs but they all have bad side effects for me or they just don't work. Like Abilify made me physically sick and it didn't work, Risperdal gave me the same problems are Invega, Seroquel and Zyprexa made me gain weight and eat a lot.

I am currently taking both Invega and Stelazine but my pdoc said she doesn't recommend doing that for a long time because it increases my risk of type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol. So she suggested either just taking Stelazine on its own or trying Clozaril

Did you by any chance mention to her that addition of metformin could fix both of those problems, it will lower proloactin caused by risperidone or the active ingredient of risperidone which is invega and it's something they give to combat diabetes and pre diabetes. Clozaril is an atypical that causes a lot of weight gain so its pro-diabetic/metabolic syndrome as well.
