I think racism has always been here. It's just that is suddenly okay socially to be racist , because what the hey! We have a sociopathic narcissist as our POTUS

Hey guys,

I'm in a rut right now. On many levels I just feel like not going to classes at college and just sleeping half the day instead. But that would just make things worse. (I was docked a weeks worth of bursary this month for missing college... supposed to have 100% attendance to get it. Seems "I had a bad day with my mental health problems" isn't swinging it as an excuse anymore)

Things are a mess at home and I just don't have the motivation to deal with it.

I drank too much (again) this weekend. Happening all too often these days.

My only hope right now is that I've got Easter break in two weeks. Hopefully if I can just keep pushing myself until then, it will give me a chance to try tidy and clean my flat etc.

It's all too easy to give up, and I really feel like doing that now.

Nice spring here too. 5+ degrees sun shining melting all the snow.

My serotonin is heavily depleted from a serotonin releasing agent though so I took 2 Concerta to heal me. That's not how it works but w/e.

What's everyone else got planned for the day? Hope you all have a good day.
I got another puncture wound from my breaking down mattress. Nothing much going on.

I'm making more confusion within my convos. I'm going to go to sleep but I can't because my friend said he will arrive tonight so I have to be up for that. But I have RSL. I just want to cry.

The last time I called them they were still saying they write fill-in scrips, but they didn't. Not for anything I need.

Sorry about your mattress and your RLS. But I'm glad your friend will be arriving. I know you enjoy that.

Hey Loial, I felt how you did a couple weeks ago. It's hard to deal with college when you're not motivated. I had a mental breakdown pretty much and missed a bunch of days of classes. What helps me is to imagine myself earning my associates degree and eventually masters. I just keep in mind that one day within the next several years I will be a college graduate, the first one in my family.

I also met with my adviser and discussed the problems I was having. Which was helpful because she also is one of my teachers.

Maybe you need an adjustment in your meds? Sometimes you got to force yourself to do things you don't feel like doing I've learned, it's not fun by any means but just try your best. Just think, you're in college, one day you'll have some sort of degree and maybe a job in your career choice.

Another thing that helps me.. this is kinda silly but you know class rings? I plan on getting myself a very nice gold one when I eventually get my masters degree for a reward and symbol of my accomplishment. Maybe you should think of a reward to yourself for making it through.

Good luck

Buying a ps4 next week hopefully. I think it's a good idea because it also plays DVDs and Blue-ray discs which I need anyway.

Thanks for replying to my post. Blue_Bird

I was feeling a bit like nobody was listening last night but deep down I know people won't always reply to posts.

I didn't make it in for class this morning. I got up, had breakfast and showered but had no motivation to get out the door.

I'm about to go in for afternoon classes soon though.

Med adjustment might help. I think my psychiatrist though maybe dropping dose of Citalopram might help with sleepiness since it started on that before the olanzapine.

Meds in the past have affected my motivation but I've been on the same meds since before Xmas now, so I don't think I should be seeing any progression in motivation or sleepiness so late in the game. I'm pretty sure it's my mood.

Possible trigger:

I'll see if things improve by Easter and if not I'll contact my p-doc to see what we can do.

As for rewards, that's a great idea but I'm not sure what I can aim at. Certainly it has helped me thus far to know I'm in this hopefully to give myself new direction. It just sucks it's harder than it should be. I probably will talk to my guidance tutor... already have once a few weeks ago.

How about waiting for at least 30 days? You're broke and you want to pay for a new tattoo? You know I love you, but that's not such a good idea.

I'm going to a double appointment today. Pdoc and other physical doctor. I really don't want to go.
