Interesting how all of us get on here in this secret little community and talk about random stuff so nonchalantly.

I love it.

Final Update: 3 weeks off lamictal. I think this is it. I don't think anything else is going to change. I have no panic attacks. I have no bipolar mood swings. I am starting to lose my lamictal weight very fast. I don't have to pee after every sip of water anymore. That's the good.

The bad, I still don't have my full range of emotions that I had before lamictal. I'm very confused by all of this. I don't logically understand why my emotions haven't came back in full swing. Maybe this is what life is like when I'm not living in a mixed episode. Maybe this is normal.

I was reflecting on my past and I believe what triggered my mix episode was a breakup after a 9 year relationship. There's that song that goes like "You can be addicted to a certain type of sadness." Through that great depression I had to get back on my own two feet again. It was like my best friend had passed away and my identity was shattered to pieces. I had to redefine myself all over.

I miss my hypersensitive emotions. My old emotions can only be described as spiritual awe. It's nowhere near that anymore. I don't know how to get them back now other than wait longer and see. I believe I was on Lamictal for close to 2 years. Maybe it changed my brain chemistry permanently.

Have you guys experienced anything like this before?

When I went off abilify it took 9 months before I started hearing voices again....I do believe they may have long lasting epigenetic effects....

IF it was due to the meds, it could take way longer than 3 weeks to 'repair' itself. I'd suggest months to a year to be sure, but it could be sooner. But what if it wasn't the meds? If it's negative symptoms, they're much harder to treat...

That must be a relief! How do you feel about it? When I was approved for disability, I felt a huge relief financially, but also really sad about the change to my identity. I still even now find it hard to see myself as 'disabled'...

So if you link to the photos on third party sites like pc you need to pay $400 a year.....they supposedly broke or will break the image links.....your photos are still there and you can download them but no linking, thing is people are ticked because they use it for blogs etc. now the pics are gone from the sites. I just deleted my account because $400 to post random pics here is a no go for me.....they also sent a nasty email that said you're breaking the terms of the account etc etc....not really they used to allow linking.
