Just to clarify, your starting dose is 100mg/day???

You're supposed to start at 25mg and taper up slowly because of the (rare) risk of Stephen-Johnsons Syndrome. I think it took me 3 or 4 weeks to get to 100mg when I was on it years ago! Be vigilant for the rash (you can google it, but it's not pretty so keep in mind that's it's rare!)

I took it as an adjunct to an AD for treatment-resistant depression for 6 weeks up to 200mg, but it did nothing, except make my skin really greasy and spotty. I have no idea why my pdoc took me off it and didn't just increase the dose some more as 200mg isn't a lot, but she was completely incompetent so that's probably why!

Why do people flush their meds when they don't want them anymore??? I just don't understand. That contaminates the water supply! If I don't want meds or they go out of date etc, I return them to the local pharmacy and they send them away to be destroyed safely. It's free here. Do you guys not have that??

Hopefully your GP will get to the bottom of it and it'll sort itself out soon.

Yes my starting dose is 100 mg. That Stephen-Johnson syndrome is scary

I hope I won't have that, I take care of my skin very carefully if that happened to me I'd be depressed. Thanks for the warning, I'll pay attention

Hey guys what's up? I see my therapist tomorrow. I might see about stopping my day treatment program. I've been doing good and have been out of the hospital for a little over a month now.

Had a dentist appointment this morning but slept too late. Rescheduled it.

I feel really good, I'm doing great. It feels like Autumn is coming here. I'm ready for it. I hate hot weather.

I got a pile of all my horror movies out, gonna go on a horror movie binge.

Going grocery shopping Saturday, I have a coupon to get this pasta for 19cents if you spend more than $15.

Thank you everyone! I also thought maybe it was a reaction to a new med since I started 3 new meds recently. However she said it wasn't likely since it was just one eye that was having the reaction. She said that it looked like I did have an allergic reaction to something though just not sure what. So they gave me a steroid shot and loaded me up with allergy meds to take. I'm feeling a bit better now I can open my eye again and see so that is nice.

But seriously though thanks for the support. This group is amazing thank you guys so much!

My uncle Jeff came over today... He talked about voices in his head. I think I know where I get it from... my moms side of the family. I'm not the only one in the family. I know mainly depression and possibly bipolar disorder runs in the family but so much of psychosis.

But I took the drug again.

Withdrawal in a very very rare form apparently is severe psychosis even on meds and severe mood swings, euphoric tingling sensations in the body and head, empathy, chillness, hallucinations etc.. Just like when you are supposed to feel like when taking the drug.

I should just flush it but I'm going to try and not use it again and I know I wont because it doesn't get me high. It's like an antipsychotic and mood stabilizer at this point.

Only if I get really really tired and unable to function then I would have to take a small dose. That's why I can't flush it. It's the only reason.

It's going to be a really bumpy road for the next week or two or maybe forever..

It could be forever because it didn't seem to stop after a week of not taking it. I can't lie to myself..

Drugs are never the answer though. I abused drugs for similar reasons at times and they never helped.

I think you need to find another coping mechanism. Therapy seemed to work well for you for a while so maybe that again, I don't know?
