I have problems kissing on the first date. Kissing is so intimate. It's like holding a hand. Doing that on the first date, when you've just met, would make it seem not less intimate, but like i was forcing the kiss. Typically, i'd like to kiss, but my mind says, NO! DON"T DO THAT, SHE"S ALMOST A STRANGER!!! and I obey. :P Hugs seems safer... and she can always make the first move to kiss. If she puts on lipgloss then I'm probably going in for the kill though. That's a clear sign!
Thanks for this!

I'd say its always a safe bet not to-----she may be not interested and you could be reading it wrong..... hugs are good I think----show your interest but its not like horrible if it goes wrong.

Good evening, how is everyone doing?

I've been busy, making plans for visiting the United States this holiday season. Hopefully they will be solidified in the next couple weeks. Also went practicing driving city in traffic today. Only stalled twice. Went out for a night run to the local Sale store and no stalls whatsoever. I love driving stick shift now that I'm getting used to it.
Thanks for this!

Hey everyone,

Today was a good day. It slipped by just like the Summer is turning to an Autumn day today. I have been having voices on and off but nothing too bad. Right now I'm just relaxing and listening to some music. I start my class at work tomorrow so that will have me busy rest of the week. It is an online class so that is nice.
Thanks for this!

Its sad how if someone loves god/jesus they are considered uncool and unintelligent.

Anyway i just want to say that i believe in god and jesus and consider myself intelligent as well as having had other people tell me im intelligent. Many people. I dont think I believe in him in the way most people do tho.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I can think of many intellectuals who believe(d) in god. Great minds have believed in a god. I'm a hopeful agnostic. I can challenge Richard Dawkins any day. Guys like Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and Daniel Dennett are just ignorant assholes. Their religion is scientism, and they fail to see the limits of science. It's folly. Science is a great tool but it doesn't solve our most intimate issues of human life such as the rich, intimate, subjective mental life we individually experience. Nor can a theory such as evolution explain why we put so much effort in the creation of beauty; nor why we have abstract thought, or have definitive explinations to moral altruism and categorical imperatives. There are core human capacities and powers.

It kinda is true. And i base that solely on the many comments i see on facebook articles or news sites. Anyone, ANYONE can post about jesus/god and they will be automatically struck down by many people. Sure there will be people that agree but there will be hundreds that wont. Or will laugh at that person. Its considered unintelligent and uncool and the person is called a bible thumper or something equivalent.

The interesting aspect to me (as im sure for other people) is i can see so much through social media. People say dont pay attention to online trolls or what you read online BUT facebook is very different from any other online social media. Its the largest and most used. And people use their real names, with the exception of a few.

So when someone posts something on there, they arent hidden and since its still behind a screen they feel safe to say stuff openly.

My point is, from what i learned from reading facebook, people think its uncool and unintelligent. And from what ive said, idk why people wouldnt take whats said on facebook at face value, so to speak.

I REVEL at the chance to talk on philosophical issues such as this. I should really try to find another philosophical community. I tried to be a part of an atheist site, even though I'm a hopeful agnostic, and wow that was jarring. That close knit group was fueled by hate and intolerance. So much venom. It reminded me of a sort of hate ism. but now one related to the color of your skin but to the ideas you hold. My beleifs weren't hateful at all.

Newtus, maybe it's part of human nature to want to belong to one side or the other, and when you decide to take a side you start to see all the bad on one side much of the time and not so much the good. So they demonize that side not seeing what it truly was. Chilvarly for all its faults helped check many human impulses and was a civilizing in the Western World. When people stand on reason thinking they can do no wrong all you have to do is point to the French Revolution, which was lead by the philosophes, the intelligencia of the time, and that ended with heads rolling down the streets. Robespiere terror is not to be forgotten.

I'm sorry your fb is like that....you select your friends which shapes the environment....I know there's family too which complicates things and that's where I get into trouble but I just try to stay neutral and remind myself I'm not in a walled garden......
