I don't understand how anyone can have a conversation over 40 minutes on the phone. I hate answering it.
Thanks for this!

Same. I think the longest I've talked on a phone that wasn't a phone meeting is about 40 min and that was also work related because someone was complaining about bad customer service experience.

On a personal level I run out of things to talk about quickly and can't hold long conversations they're so boring.

The typical guy conversations on phones are basically, "Yeah, okay, cool, yeah she had a nice butt, oh she's your sister? I mean she's so smart! Can you tell her I said hi? No? No problem , alright, See you then, bye!
Thanks for this!

I think that's great I wish my mom were around for a 4 & 1/2 hour phone call.
Other than her. Anything over 5 minutes makes me nuts.

Philosophy is best done in person with grand hand expressions accompanied by alcohol and hemlock, while wearing togas where I'm home alone on facebook.

I miss the philosophy club at school, minus the pretentious professor who would come. He was an asshole. I wish more discussions were built on defeating skepticism rather than demolishing truths though. All people want is subjective relativism.
Thanks for this!

Sometimes I'm up for conversations with people I know (family primarily), but I tend to take a passive role a lot. Like I don't always have a lot to add to the conversation. It's okay on the phone though. But if it's in person; that's a totally different story. I can barely hold any conversation these days besides small easy replies to keep the person talking. Never used to have that problem, makes me stressed a lot.

I'm pretty good at conversating I feel. Just ask them questions. If they are any good they will ask you questions in return. "how's your day? Any plans this evening? Did you see the breaking news on trump today? I'm not saying it was aliens--but it was aliens."
Thanks for this!
