I'm doing good at using coping mechanisms for depression. Moving helped a lot because there was nothing to do where I used to live. Anhedonia caused my depression but I'm fighting it.

I see beautiful things in life.. A bit of anxiety but I ignore it. There's really no reason to see a psychiatrist apart from updating my prescriptions. I hope my new therapist is good.
Thanks for this!

I haven’t had any psychotic thoughts for a while now. It’s kind of weird.

I don't even get psychotic thoughts at the end of my injection anymore. It's really nice. Just keep taking your meds.

Now I think I'll be fine if I stop the antipsychotic though. I feel weird to be taking some barely researched FDA approved chemical with no long term research.

I'm sure antipsychotics are fine for psychosis but if there's a chance that I wont get psychosis anymore with no evidence then I feel stuck.

I googled "Is schizophrenia forever don't lie" (lol..)

First thing it said was "There is no cure".
Thanks for this!

We have a division called Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency which sort of act the same way as the FDA.

Did you click "I'm feeling lucky". Lol.

So I have some extreme allergic reaction since my lips went numb yesterday. My bottom lip swelled up to over twice it's natural size, and I developed the worst itching I've ever had. I don't know what caused it. They're giving me Benadryl which only barely helps and Prednisone.

If I were at home I'd take a Benadryl every four hours but here they make me wait 6 hours between doses..

The damn wifi isn't working today and I'm almost out of data. I hope it will work again soon. Everytime I try to turn it on it gets stuck at "obtaining (something or other)".

I hope everyone who's going through downturns today will feel a lot better really soon.

I'm trying to do that too but it takes time.. I just rush into things and then burn out but right now it's stable. Balance is key.

Yes. I got life to juggle. I don't have the money to get an education and fail because I bit off too much than I can handle.

re: money for education

these days it's really not beneficial anymore to take out massive student loans and attend a 4 year university

community colleges have trade and tech programs of Max 2 years

as far as finances... if you fill out a FAFSA form online (and if you qualify which most people do) you can receive multiple Pell grants (not loans... you don't pay anything back) that will cover your tuition... class fees... books and school supplies... and you even get a fat check for "living expenses" after everything's paid for at school

trade and tech degrees (IMO) are better options in today's society. there's high demand for some of them and they can be lucrative

community colleges also work with disabled folks in order to achieve success. they want you to succeed.

most community colleges offer classes online as well... which is what I did... to eliminate distractions within the classroom such as social anxiety
