My flat is in a 200+ year old building. My living room is actually an extension but it will get down to 14C / 57F overnight if I didn’t set my thermostat. This is with gas central heating. It takes hours to warm up in the morning but thankfully I sleep in these days.

PS - your house pre-dates the United States or whatever the term is for that. That’s pretty impressive! We have lots of old buildings in the UK so we’re used to it.

Hi Been waking up with a headache these few days due to a cold temperature. I know it’s nothing compares to you guys’ place but when you live in a tropical area your entire life it’s common to have a small range of temperatures tolerance. It’s 24 C here and I’m under a thick blanket.

Hi everybody. I had a busy weekend. My sister and her five children were here for a visit. Plus the football playoff games. Plus therapy on Friday night. IDK what to do about therapy. I'm not sure I'm getting out of it what I'm supposed to be, but dang it, I like the woman, and maybe it's not so bad if it is just more like support than anything else. But times like this make me wonder why I even go? But then people tell me I'm unwell so then it seems like I should go. Ugh. How's everybody today? Kit.

Just goes to show you how much aclimitization plays a factor. That’s like hot summer temperatures here.

PS - good to see you posting in roll call.

My previous tolerances for 25 C and above have dropped since moving to Finland. So last summer when it got in the 30s it was just too much. Now I can't really tolerate anything below -5 either...so yeah.

The APs affect heat tolerance too.

I just vacuumed. I've been trying to get myself to do it the past several weeks and have been avoiding it. Idk why but I hate, actually no I despise vacuuming. I don't mind any other type of cleaning but vacuuming gets on my nerves. I think it's because I live in a studio apartment and I have to like rearrange my living/bedroom every time I do it.

I detest vacuuming too. I don't mind sweeping and mopping but I hate hate hate vacuuming. For me, it's the noise of the machine.

I haven’t vacuumed or cleaned in almost 6 months. My bathroom is horrid. I just can’t motivate myself.

I used to keep a spotless flat. It depresses me I don’t do it anymore.

Good on you for vacuuming though!

I love the winter because of the cold, dark nights. It helps me sleep. Conversely I hate how hot and light it is in summer for sleeping.

I do enjoy time in the sun during the summer though. I just wish the nights were cooler.

I went to the health centre today. I keep having issues with coughing in relatively high cold air temps (32F/0C) and below that. I also get pain from the cold, more so than most people. Yes this stuff happens in the extremes, but in general average temps I still struggle.

I grew up with activity induced asthma. I wonder if its making a re-emergence in my life. I found myself wheezing on the way to the health centre. But I talked to the nurse and she will consult with the doctor about possibly doing tests for me to determine.

I'm scared I will be called a hypochondriac for trying to explain health problems I have, even if they aren't always "present". It sucks. I just want to take care of my health to the best of my abilities.

It’s not hypochondria to check in once in a while even for minor things.

I have in the past had health anxiety and been in as often as once a week. My GP basically told me if you have anything persistent or very troubling then it’s worth coming in. Over time and with meds I have adopted that philosophy and have never felt unwelcome.

So I have to admit something. I’m in a twilight phase again. It’s not only for teenage girls.

I watched the first movie and read the first book in 2 days. 400 pages! Been a long time since I read something so avidly. I watched New Moon today and started the second book. It’s nice reading and seeing more detail.

I used to have a really pretty set of them but lost them when I moved. I'd like to buy a replacement, this is the only one I can find of the same editions I had
