This reminds me that I really better start going back to the dentist. I'm dreading it so much.

How are you doing? Are you still having that coughing? Maybe it's an allergy. Lately I've been getting bombarded with second hand smoke due to poor seating arrangements on the patio here. It triggers my allergy to smoke. It's almost as if I didn't stop smoking at all. Trying to steer clear of it now.

It's still cold out. I keep thinking it's time to retire my winter coat for the season, but it's just too cold every day still.

Maybe one of your neighbors smokes and you're allergic. That happened to me before this place. I'd cough and only notice afterwards that I could smell cigarette smoke from somewhere near my windows.
I'm doing well Yes, still coughing, it could be allergies, maybe I should take some benadryl. I'm not sure about the smoking, I grew up with my mom and she was a smoker, it never seemed to bother me, I don't think my neighbors smoke as far as I know

It's pretty chilly out here too even though it's sunny

omg I need to so badly and I've been putting it off, my teeth are so screwed up from the ED, I don't want to have to get another root canal/crown. I need to just make myself go at some point and get whatever I need done taken care of

I got all 4 wisdom teeth out. They gave me codeines..

Feels weird that they put me unconscious and yanked my teeth out.. I woke up singing without even realizing I was singing...

I see the dentist once a year for a cleaning and check up. Luckily I haven’t had a cavity in many many years. I used to get quite a few when I was a kid.

Confession?
I stopped going to the dentist when I had my wisdom teeth out. It was an awful experience and I had literal panic attacks just going to the office. I’d make them then leave.
I didn’t actually go back until I got pregnant. (Bad oral hygiene can be risky to a pregnancy)
After I had my first I went to the dentist and had extensive work done. I had never had a cavity but after 14 yrs of no dentist I didn’t fare so well.
Continued going and getting the work done. I also have periodontal problems as does the entire maternal side of my family. Did gum grafts and all that.
Got pregnant again and this pregnancy was hard on my gums. All the work I had done was pretty much reversed.
I went back after I had her but the peri and dentist said that my mouth now requires like $20000 in restorative work. Rebuilding gums and bone cuz of the peri stuff. Then cavities, root canals, and crowns.
I have since only gone for cleanings. I have refused all additional work for now. I really can’t afford it, it’s painful, and unfortunately the peri disease is so far advanced it’s like pissing in the wind. I wish I could afford implants. I used to have such nice teeth. Through no fault of my own really. Genetics suck

I smoked for 41 years, and I didn't realize I was allergic. I thought my runny nose was genetic lol. My parents smoked too.

Yes, best to keep up with it. At least cleanings. I have to get the rest of my teeth extracted. Don't wait until it's too late!

The animal rights sites have invaded my inbox. Humans suck and should probably be hunted to extinction.

Should you chose to make the abhorrent decision to go to an animal circus. Please please please do not do this it’s not fun or cute for them. They are beat into submission and forced to perform.

We finally set the date for my fil’s burial. May 3rd. Of course it would be the same week as my own deceased dad’s birthday.
It will be good to put him to rest. My husband has been very stressed about it.

So, about time I gave you all an update.

I’m doing quite well on the alcohol front. I’ve cut back from 8 cans a day to 5 cans a day the past few days over the past month or so.

I’ve had a couple of rough days after drinking considerably less, not on purpose but just because I was out the house and stuff or tired and went to bed early. Not sure what to expect as I cut back more...

However my sleep is royally screwed up. I’m going to bed anywhere between 2-4am at the moment and even then not falling sleep easily. Tried going to bed earlier but haven’t been able to reset my sleep.

Also my voices have been the worst they have in a couple of years at least recently. The nurse I see for alcohol stuff said we need to keep an eye on it as alcohol withdrawal might exacerbate it and I agree because they were really bad on one of the days after I drank less two days in a row.

It’s like I can hear them even when I’m doing things sometimes and they are saying more complex stuff rather than just the same repetitive ****.

I think it’s partly been to blame for not falling asleep easily recently because I end up listening to them and then my mind starts thinking about stuff and I don’t feel tired.

I’m just seeing how it goes at the moment. Thus far I’ve not had any paranoia or anything so that’s good but I may get my p-doc appointment brought forward and consider meds again if things don’t improve soon.

Oh well. I’m not in a bad mood overall. Doing well just the lack of sleep and voices wearing me out.

So, I’ve been talking to Erti. She’s been having a hard time and has literally just gone back to hospital.

She forgot about letting you guys know and didn’t want you all to worry.

@Loial I’m glad things are going well overall with the reduction.
I’m so impressed with your dedication. Big huge back pats to you!
Sorry to hear about the voices. I was thinking the withdrawal might be aggravating your mental health. I’ve seen “normal” people have quasi psychosis during withdrawal. It can be pretty intense.
I’m glad you communicated that to your nurse.
Sounds like you’re doing everything right!

Yes I’ve read that alcohol withdrawal can cause psychosis even in those who are otherwise healthy. Also obviously the stress and stuff associated with it can make things worse too regardless.

I didn’t think I’m far enough along for that sort of thing yet, but I guess even cutting back is having an effect.

I just hope it doesn’t get worse. The main thing is I’m taking it slowly and going to my appointments regularly. Weekly for now.

We actually talked more about my mental health than alcohol at my last appointment.

I literally can't remember half my day I have no clue what time I woke up, what I did, nothing, it's like it's blank, I must have fell back to sleep after I woke up and was up for awhile because I got up and it was like 12:30 pm, I apparently went and got my laptop out because videos were playing on youtube next to me when I woke up and the battery was almost dead, I think I may have gotten on my phone too
