I am going to have a burrito for lunch today. I am not craving it. I would rather have tacos but my coworker who will go get me tacos is off today. I'm spoiled! But I will just eat the burrito.

I keep getting songs from "The Sound of Music" in my head even though I haven't seen that film in ages! I keep singing Do Re Mi

My library branch posted this today on Facebook

"Libraries are a valuable asset to the community and we want to make sure that they can continue to encourage lifelong learning, exploration and innovation in all of our residents. Earlier this month the County Legislature asked the Board of Trustees to enact a policy that would eliminate late fines for borrowed materials.
Starting on April 1, 2022 ******** County Public Library will no longer charge late fines for materials returned after their due date.
“On behalf of my colleagues on the County Legislature, I’d like to thank the Board of Trustees for creating a new policy that removes financial barriers that disproportionately affect low-income households’ ability to access all the services our libraries provide. We believe this change in policy will not only bring more people back to our libraries, it will also encourage patrons with overdue books to bring them back without worrying about being charged late fines.” -
Patrons will still be responsible for replacement costs for lost or damaged materials."

Good so far. I am waiting on four things that I ordered to come in. All boring things though. Organizer totes from Thirty-One for my bookcase. Still I will feel better having things off my desk once I get those in!

Yeah, I almost always turn my books in on time, but I went through a period of struggling with agoraphobia where I couldn't get myself to return them, I eventually was able to, but had a $55 late fee accumulated by that time. I would never let that happen again. But sometimes things do happen/unforeseen circumstances in life that make it hard to return things on time

I can see that. Besides don't you have to walk to the library? What if the weather is bad for a couple of weeks. That would make it hard to get there. I'm glad they enacted this policy.

Me too Yes I do, it was this winter and the the sidewalks get really icy here. I slipped and fell one time near there at the Family Dollar next to the library. I need to get boots with those spikes on them for walking in ice.

I'm not saying it's good or anything. Just I did it. I sent it to one of the kiddos that I sponsor through Compassion International who is having a birthday next month. I hope he likes it. I titled it "Love Cats" I also sent a picture of it to my T to let her know I've been working on art to help me connect with well, myself.

WA a in addition to limiting yourself to fifteen minutes a day for your thesis you could also try bribery. I used to do this with video games, like if I finish my homework then I can play games for several hours etc.

I'm excited to be able to use the library's stuff again, like hoopla, and ebooks, and regular books, DVDs etc from there. I love the library. I love the other library downtown (it's a part of the same branch, it's the main one, the one I go to that's closer to me is a lot smaller), it's really big and they have these nice study cubicles on the side you can sit in and study or whatever you want to do, read, watch stuff on your laptop (on headphones, obviously, have to be quiet), they have outlets next to each desk/cubicle so you can plug your laptop charger in.
